By:Wolfgang Jaegel
French Polynesia, also known as Tahitian Islands, is an overseas country located within the French Republic in the Southern Pacific Ocean. All of its 118 islands and atolls are spread across the five prime island groups of French Polynesia, such as, the Society Islands, the Tuamotu, the Marquesas, the Austral, and the Gambier.
Bestowed with towering mountain peaks, unspoiled beaches, exceptional coves and bays, magnificent coral reefs, tranquil atmosphere, and varied natural history, French Polynesia's each island is truly a paradise on earth and provides great opportunities for a relaxing vacation. No matter you have come here for a memorable honeymoon or wedding or to enjoy a fun-filled vacation with your friends and families, Tahitian islands caters to all of your needs.

The largest of the French Polynesian islands, Tahiti boasts of lush green area areas, beautiful valleys, amazing beaches, and incredible streams and rivers. Not to miss attractions in Tahiti include Harrison Smith Botanical Gardens, the Museum of Tahiti, and Gauguin Museum. Also, a plethora of recreational as well as fun filled activities can be enjoyed here including deep sea fishing, helicopter sightseeing, and eco tours.
Bora Bora is considered the number one romantic destination on the earth. Located roughly 150 km from Tahiti, Bora Bora provides a feast of attractions to visitors, with its verdant green hills and awe-inspiring lagoons. Just few among the attractions here are lagoonarium, enclosed by coral reef, Matira Beach, Marae Temples, and Tetiaroa Atoll & Bird Sanctuary.
Situated about 1400 kilometers from Tahiti, the Marquesas is the next most popular island group in French Polynesia. The main island of Marquesas archipelago is Nuku Hiva, whose administrative region is the town of Taiohae. Among the highlights of this island group are Hiva O, with a museum dedicated to the renowned French artist Paul Gauguin; Ua Poa, with impressive jagged cliffs; Ua Huka, which is much favored for its wood carvings; Tahuta, whose attractions are Archaeologic site in Hanamiai valley and Stone petroglyphs in Hanatehau valley; and Fatu Hiva, blessed with exotic flowers and herbs.
Some of the most popular destinations in the Austral island group, located to the south of Tahiti, are Rurutu, Tubuai, Rimatara, Raivavae, and Tapa. When comes to the Taumotu archipelago, it consists of more than 70 atolls, all of them blessed with breathtaking surroundings. With about 14 tiny beautiful islands, Gambier archipelago is about 1500 km south east of Tahiti and most prominent among its highlights is the Mangareva.
With these stupendous island groups, each of them offering a range of things to see and do, it is not a wonder why people from every nook and corner of the world visit here year-round. Some may come here for a relaxing family vacation by indulging in a number of activities while some come here for an unforgettable honeymoon as well as to celebrate their anniversaries.
Whatever your choice or option may be, French Polynesia has superb options, with a plethora of hotels, resorts, and other accommodation choices. For those seeking tranquility and at the same time privacy, then one of the best options would be go for accommodation choices such as incredible thatched roof bungalows built over beautiful blue lagoons.
Likewise, for a carefree vacation in Tahitian islands, many of the hotels provide excellent packages which cover everything from booking of to and fro air tickets and facilities for island hopping to world accommodation and scrumptious dining options.
Some hotels even provide bespoke spa facilities for weary travelers or tourists who are tired after a day or two of island hopping as well as enjoyment of activities. Spa treatments available include body scrub with Bora Bora sands, tropical fruit body wrap, toning tropical wrap, stone massage, and facials and manicures and pedicures. Guests can pamper themselves with these relaxing spa treatments either at spa centers within the hotel or in the privacy of their own over water bungalows.

Our Pauper loves to save money using an airfare consolidator. These consolidators contract with airlines to get tickets at cheaper rates than the general public. Because they buy large blocks of tickets the airlines love them.
Though you can get really good deals by knowing how to use consolidators, remember they are not structured for great service.
