Web TimeSheet Reviewer's Comments

By:Tom Jacobs

Web TimeSheet from Replicon Inc. has tons of the top features to keep your company in order and is “TopTenREVIEWS Silver Award Winner” time tracking and management software. This software package comes with loads of time tracking features, has the ability to run customized reports and is compatible with ADP, Ceridian and other payroll packages.

Web TimeSheet base price per license is less than $110 but they require a minimum purchase of five licenses (10 if purchased online) and some useful modules are available at an additional cost. Unlike many packages, Replicon requires a 20% maintenance add-on that raises the purchase price to $130.80, but this provides a year of maintenance, which is a good deal.

Feature Set: 3.5/4

Web TimeSheet has lots practical features to help managers and business owners to stay organized and informed. The software package has all of the timekeeping features of the #1 product including vacation time, holiday time, sick leave, overtime, time-off requests and more. It can also handle unique overtime and vacation rules.

Additionally, you can setup this program so your employees can submit their hours once a week and then the manager can accept or reject the hours before sending the hours to payroll. It has a stopwatch feature that can monitor time spent on projects and substitute users can be set up to enter timesheet information for others.

Web TimeSheet offers an expenses module, but you'll have to purchase it separately. This module gives you the ability to manage expenses in multiple currencies, create billing invoices and set projects as billable or non-billable.

Ease of Use: 3.5/4

Web TimeSheet has nine large icons that are clearly marked at the top of the screen for the different options available. A navigational bar includes additional options to make all the features easily accessible from the main screen.

The user interface may take some time to get used to—the employee section is labeled “Admin” and the list of employees is labeled "Users." The "Promax" and "Expense" sections are available as an additional purchase.

Ease of Installation/Setup: 4/4

We didn't have any problems during the installation and setup of Web TimeSheet.

Time Tracking Capabilities: 4/4

Web TimeSheet has excellent tracking capabilities; this software will track your employee's projects, sick time, vacation time, holiday time and overtime, following the specific parameters that you set.

If you are willing to spend the extra money, the ‘Expense’ tracking module, can also track your expenses and invoices during a specific period or project. Replicon also offers ProMax (+$2000), which gives managers the ability to track utilization rates.

Reporting Capabilities: 3.5/4

Web TimeSheet offers about 35 different reports, from employee and project reports to time and attendance reports. All reports can be filtered or configured to your parameters, offering endless report variety.

Expense reports require the purchase of the expense module sold separately.

Summary:

Web TimeSheet is a great tool for managers and business owners alike, and Replicon Inc. allows you to customize your software package with additional modules.

The key factor in the success or failure in a business that specializes in closeouts, liquidations, or selling products on eBay is finding items at good prices that you can make a profit on when you resell them. Contrary to popular belief it is when you buy the item that you make your profit as what you pay for something is what determines how much your end profit will eventually be.
