Pitfalls to avoid as a Newbie in Internet Marketing – Information Overload
By:Steve Castle
Previously, I touched on the issue of budgeting your time and money with consideration and balance. Today, I would like to hopefully offer stability in dealing with ‘Information Overload’
One of the main negatives when you are starting out – in fact it carries on even afterwards – is the total attack on your senses with information. You never thought that there could be so much out there that could possibly make you money – and I bet you never thought there were so many experts in one place!
There is the glitch – too many EXPERTS! Truth be told, so many of those pretending to be GURUS are only trying to make a quick buck. Rest assured though, there are enough of the ‘good guys’ around to make sure that you get what you need when you need it. Most of the ‘good guys’ tend to be a little hard to find – they are not into the whole hype and self-promotion thing…. let me rephrase that, they are not into self-promotion just for the sake of it – they do it to bring knowledge and products to the wider community.
The main thrust of what I want to say today is this: Do not be pulled into or fooled by pretty pictures and promises of easy wealth. There is really no such thing as free money – to earn well and have a long-term income you need to put in the elbow grease for the business to pay dividends. Please, do not be tempted to subscribe or pay money over to schemes that appear to good to be true – usually they are just that – To Good To Be True!
Be aware that when signing up for free newsletters and co-reg lead generation packages, part of the deal for you to get the information or whatever it is for free is that you make yourself available for other marketers' efforts – the chances are you will be bombarded with emails about the latest and greatest etc. Read these to meet you commitment to the service provider, BUT DO SO WITH DISCIPLINE – try to avoid joining everything thrown at you – cherry-pick for the good opportunities with CARE.
By now you will have a plan as to what it is that you want to build your business around – affiliate marketing, MLM, Information Product development, traffic exchanges, hard products, eBay – whatever. The main thing is that you have a plan. Now the next thing is to get the knowledge so that you can find the vehicle for that plan. Most people would prefer to have a system in place to which they can ‘bolt on’ or apply their unique business opportunity – others will prefer to develop their own thing all together. My advice if you are new to the whole Internet Marketing arena is to hook into a system that offers multiple income streams that are easily managed from a central hub – kind of like a spider in her web.
I hope that you noted I used the term ‘multiple income stream’ in the previous paragraph – in the formative stage of your business, one of the BEST models to follow is to have access to between 5 and 8 SYMBIOTIC products or business opportunities. It’s the old adage about eggs in baskets and things. Anyway, the model I recommend is to develop 5-8 streams within one management environment if you like. Once these generate income, this income is what is used to fund your larger ventures. By doing this, you are ensuring STABLE income as well as long-term income. You will now be able to fund your big projects with very little personal risk – or maybe stop here and continue to develop and grow your marketing business.
If I can leave you with one thought for today:
The magic is that with a little effort and dedication, you are able to achieve anything – Patience; Dedication; Honesty will get you to the top of the world.
Have a clear goal of what you want to achieve (financial freedom, family time, giving to others, whatever) and try to build a plan on how to get there – like a road map. This is not as simple as it sounds, but once you build the discipline to plan your future, the rest really does start to just drop into place.

Recently I participated in a forum discussion about offline marketing – that is using more traditional marketing offline to drive traffic to your website or blog. I can still remember the first time I saw a URL in a TV commercial and how cool I thought that was.
The offline world has the constraint of geography, so the least expensive forms of viral marketing are going to be geographically bound, which can be challenging for some sites.

- 1). Birkenstocks & The Customizable Art Of Footwear By : JM Anderson
Birkenstocks are a German brand of quality footwear, which is best known for it’s contoured footbed. When most people purchase a new pair of shoes, they expect to have a ‘break-in’ time. This usually lasts for a few days and, at that time, the shoe is pretty comfortable and broken in for everyday wear. The main difference with Birkenstocks is that they approach the ‘break-in’ time much differently.
