Fresh Content – The Kingpin Strategy for Organic Traffic

By:Tim Wright

Let’s cut right to the chase on this one. You’ve all heard it before – Content is king.

If you continue to provide fresh, insightful and search engine optimized content to your website, you will increase the traffic to your website, along with your page rank and search engine rankings.

By adding high quality content to your site, other websites will begin to link to you automatically, resulting in a dramatic increase in your traffic from these new links and returning visitors.

Eventually, from other sites linking to your website because of its high quality content, search engines will come and begin to index your website automatically. How organic.

How to Add High Quality Content

It’s great to know that Content is King and that if you add quality content to your website you will increase your traffic, backlinks and search engine rankings. But how do you actually do this?

Simply put: You can write your own articles, or get someone else to write articles.

If you haven’t been writing articles to promote your websites already, you should start as soon as possible, as giving away free articles is an excellent way to increase your website’s traffic and page rank.

If you just can’t write your own articles, whether it’s due to time constraints, a phobia developed from high school English class, or just a general lack of talent, you can always hire someone to write them for you.

With a little creativity, you could get others to write articles for you with very little cash outlay.

You could hire a family member, a college student, or a ghostwriter from a place like elance.com, offer to teach an English class and once hired give the students assignments to write hundreds of articles for your website or something along those lines.

Just kidding.

In any case, if you do decide to get other people to write articles for you, be sure to give yourself a budget to work with and make sure that you communicate very clearly as to exactly what it is that you want this person to write for you.

One other option (which is one of the easiest) is to use other people’s articles on your website.

This is probably one of the easiest ways to get high quality content on your website.

Remember, keeping the content on your site fresh will:

-cause other websites to link to you automatically
-increase the likelihood of search engine spiders coming back to your site more often. When the content on your website changes frequently, search engine spiders often make it a point to come back sooner to check on your website’s updates.
-increase visitor traffic through the number of returning visitors

There is no substitute for content - Content is King. So be sure to keep the content on your website fresh, informative, and timely.
