Air purifiers:

Air purifiers should be used with a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Absolute) filter. This together can be used to help eliminate cat allergens.
-Pollen

HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Absolute) filters trap viruses and ultraviolet light assists in killing a virus trapped in the filter. Some air purifiers work by killing a virus by incineration in a heated chamber. These are the best defense for virus protection, and germ prevention.

Air purifiers help properly trap mold spores in the air.
Dehumidifiers:

Dehumidifiers should be used in basments to help reduce the humidity and prevent mold and mildew buildup.
-Dust Mite Prevention:
Dehumidifiers can also be used to reduce the number of Dust Mites by reducing the levels of humitiy to under 50%. Dust mites thrive in humitity at or over 50%.

Identifys allergens in the carpet such as dust mites, cat dander, and cockroach allergens.

Great for those with chemical sensitivities or eczema
Furnace Filters:
-Pollen/Hay fever protection:
Furnace Filters can be used for pollen or hayfever control because they are permanent, washable furnace filters that effectively clean the air in your entire house. A furnace filter can only do part of the job, use this in addition with a air purifier to purify the air in your house to really get the pollen allergies under control.
HEPA Vacuum Cleaners:
-Cat/dog hair:
A vacuum cleaner with a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Absolute) filter will help keep cat and dog hair allergens trapped in the filter, and prevent them from being spread when vacuuming.
