Honeymooning in the Caribbean

By:Richard Rspad

When it comes to traditional beach honeymoons, the Caribbean simply cannot be beat. Honeymoon options for the Caribbean are plentiful and the competition makes for reasonable prices.

Honeymooning in the Caribbean

One of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the world is the Caribbean. The tropical setting, combined with the exotic views, warm weather and oceanfront beaches makes the Caribbean a perfect romantic spot for your first trip as a married couple. The many honeymoon options Caribbean resorts offer can be great bargains for your vacation.

Some of the best honeymoon options the Caribbean has to offer are stays at the all inclusive resorts in the area. The Sandals resort chain has twelve locations all over the Caribbean with a style of resort to suit any couple's needs. Sandals resorts are found on Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua and the Bahamas, and these resorts are all linked together by their all inclusive service policies. These resorts really do include it all with one price – your room, dining and snacks, beverages (including alcoholic drinks), and entertainment are covered under one rate. Activities such as water sports, scuba diving, golfing, tennis and more are also included.

The only additional charges you'll be subject to are the airfare to and from the resort. Sandals resorts are exclusively for adults, so no one under 18 is allowed which makes the resort chain a great honeymoon destination. If you choose to stay at a Sandals resort for seven nights or more, you can even get a free wedding ceremony!

If you prefer a more exciting and adventurous honeymoon, why not try one of the honeymoon options available from the Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic? Here, you can spend your days kayaking, wind surfing, horseback riding and more – all along the private Minitas Beach. Skeet shooting, tennis and golf are also available for the truly active couple. Honeymoons here are not just for laying around and relaxing, you can get your exercise here too!

Planning a honeymoon in the Caribbean can be romantic and adventurous at the same time. Honeymoon resorts take the guesswork out of where to stay, what to do and where to eat – you can choose a resort that covers all of that for you. Or, you can put together your own package tailored to you specifically. Caribbean honeymoons are some of the most popular honeymoons in the world, and it's easy to see why. From snorkeling to sunbathing, this part of the world has it all, and at prices to suit any budget.
