It seems that there is more news worthy events happening today than ever before. It is really hard to say for sure whether this is accurate or if it is just because our technologies allow it to travel the world over so very fast. We have become a news addicted society and we feel the need to know what is going on everywhere all the time.

With the development of satellite television, the internet on our computers and now even through our cell phones, it is easier than ever to have access to the news, weather and other current events 24 hours a day.

In the news broadcast on television and radio before now, it could be hours or days before we could learn exactly what the facts were concerning important things like wars or political events that could be happening anywhere in the world. Through the technology of satellite, we can see things live within a few seconds of their happening.

News reporters have been dispatched to different locations where news worthy things is happening for many years now. In today's world we can see the news reporters wherever they are.

In the past we might not have appreciated nearly as much the danger that some of these reporters and journalist expose themselves to. While we watch them in these live broadcast situations on our televisions today, we can get a better grasp on exactly how much in peril they can be in.

Besides war events, the news can allow us to have constant and up to date knowledge about things like the stock market. With many people who have a lot of money invested in stocks, having a minute by minute understanding of what is happening allows them to make money and keep from losing money. Whenever there is news about money and the economy, there are business men watching.

For those of us who do not necessarily keep up with the stock market or what war and politics is happening where, it could be because we are too busy keeping up with what our favorite celebrities are getting them selves into or out of.

Some people are nearly obsessed with the lives of the rich and famous. Whether they are marrying for the tenth time or have committed a criminal act, rest assured we will know about it within minutes if we are watching a news program.
