Tips for Finding the Perfect Beach Rental

By:Mike Freemen

As vacation time approaches, more and more of us are looking for that perfect beach rental, but it is important to shop around, and to shop early. In the hottest vacation resorts it is not at all unusual for the best beach rental properties to be sold out long before the hot summer months roll around. If you are planning to look for a beach rental in any of the biggest markets, it is essential to start shopping early.

It is also important to thoroughly research the beach rental location before making a deposit or scheduling a reservation. If you are already familiar with the destination, you probably already know where the best beach rental properties are located, and which beach rental properties are not all they are cracked up to be.

If, however, you are traveling to a new destination and looking for a beach rental in that location it is important to know which are the best and most desirable locations. Not all beach rental properties are equal, and it is important to choose a beach rental property that is located in a safe and desirable part of town.

It is also important to be clear on the deposit requirements for the beach rental property you choose. Many beach rental properties will require a deposit equal to a large portion of the weekly rental, and it is important to determine how much money you will need up front so you can budget accordingly.

After you have put down the deposit on your beach rental property it is important to determine when the remainder of the money for the beach rental will be needed. It is also important to request a written confirmation detailing your dates of stay, the amount of the beach rental and the time of arrival. Having all this information in writing will make it far easier when that long awaited vacation time rolls around.

There is no doubt that renting a house at the beach can be a great deal of fun, and in many cases renting an entire house can even be cheaper than renting a hotel room for the week. The beauty of renting a beach house is that many people can share the house, and a house full of friends at the beach can be a great time, no matter what the destination. If you have always dreamed of a week at the beach but felt you could not afford it, perhaps you should gather all your closest friends and go in on a great beach rental together.
