What is Exactly a Guru

By:jim mack

We all hear the term "GURU" mentioned in our little
corner of the Internet every day.

So what exactly is a Guru?

The Webster's Desk Dictionary defines "Guru" as...

"a wise or respected leader, a Hindu spiritual instructor".

Who's your Internet Marketing "Guru"?

As each of us entered the Internet Marketing arena we needed to get the guidance of "a wise or respected leader" to put us on the *right track*. So we became apprentices to learn the ropes of creating a part-time or full-time business online.

Our "spiritual instructor" has taught us the *how to's* of waging the Internet Marketing game. If we were attentive then we acquired the tips, tricks and techniques that were required to *stand* on our own in the Internet Marketing arena.

I've been running a Small business now for more than twelve years. It took me many years before I finally realized that I was the expert ("Guru") in my little niche market. As soon I realized who was responsible for generating income for *MY* business then my business started to make more money.

Are you standing on *your own*?

OR

Are you still depending on your "Guru"?

Here's a little test.

Have you started YOUR OWN Newsletter?
Do you have YOUR OWN In-house list?
Have you purchased YOUR OWN domain name?
Do you have YOUR OWN Web Site?
Are you writing YOUR OWN articles in your field of expertise?
Are you helping other apprentices in the discussion groups?

If you're not making any money marketing on the Internet then maybe you should review your goals and objectives for pursuing this course. YOU are the most valuable business asset that you possess. Your "Guru" has probably already done his job. It's time for you to *break the ties*, move on and start putting into Action the techniques that you have been taught.

Now is the time for you to become the "Guru" for your own little niche on the Internet. Step out of the "learning" mode and into the "action" mode and you will finally start seeing results. Stand on your OWN and become a "wise and respected leader" for YOUR OWN business enterprise.

I challenge you to do it today. You WILL NOT each your full potential until you do.

You need to have a guru or a mentor that will work with you on a continual basis. You must not be afraid of him or her being critical. It is what will help you succeed. Listen and learn from your mentor.

Do not be afraid to give feedback as well. Your mentor will like the fact that you are helping him or her learn as well.

Here is to your success!

A psychic has some special powers that ordinary people don’t have. Some psychics are able to predict the future, others can communicate with the recently deceased. Some psychics are telepathic, others have the ability to exorcise ghosts. The police use psychics to help solve crimes, preferably without the media getting to know! In a recent poll, I asked readers if they thought English language teachers should be native speakers. The result was interesting, as the vote from those with an opinion was close with 48% believing they should be native speakers and 41% saying no. I don’t know what you think about this but I’ve always had mixed feelings. The first question I would raise with those who believe being a native speaker is an essential prerequisite for an English language teacher is, which nat...

Growing up, my siblings and I were never aloud to cry even just one tear. No matter how sad, mad or hurt we were, tears were never allowed. We were told that truly tough people didn't shed a tear no matter how bad life got. Tears, our parents said, were for wimps and people who weren't strong enough to handle life. As I grew into my teenage years, I found it nearly impossible to make it through week after week without crying a single tear. Since I knew my parents would not...

I have never given safety much of a thought on our family's beach vacations, but last year we heard a story about a shark attack that had ha...
