Wedding Suits For The Lazy Man

By:Shaun Parker

For the wife to be picking the wedding dress is one of, if not the most, important decisions to make in preparation for the wedding. Many brides to be have spent their formative years planning their wedding in precise detail and have a really good idea of what they are after in advance.

They also make a day of picking a wedding dress and it becomes an added part of the wedding process. They will grab their mum, their best friend and their token gay friend and go to the dress shop for the day. Men on the other hand have not been brought up to prepare for a wedding. We were too busy playing football and throwing stones to think about what we'd wear on our wedding day and further more we all have a hatred of shopping of any kind. This can make the idea of shopping for a wedding suit far more daunting than it needs to be.

Finding the right wedding suit need not be a difficult task. There are a number of ways of making the experience easier and less stressful. The most important factor to consider is to keep the fiance happy. She is likely to have some very strong opinions on what you wear and it has to fit into the plan she has for the wedding.

This means you may have to consult the maid of honour to be sure that the waistcoat and cravat colours that the men wear match the Bridal and Bridesmaids outfits. It goes without saying that you cannot look at what the bride will be wearing before the wedding takes place - this is extremely bad luck. Fortunately many wedding suit hire companies provide a swatch service to ensure that the clothing worn by the men will look good alongside the clothing worn by the women.

For those of you that really hate shopping and do not want to go down to the wedding hire shop to have a fitting many companies offer a delivery service. You can send along your measurements and the wedding hire company will send you a suit to match your requirements. It would of course be far more beneficial to have a member of staff fit the suit properly. Many companies offer this service and will visit your home to arrange a fitting. This is likely to cost a great deal more than visiting the shop. Once you have chosen your suited you will be able to have the suit delivered. This might save the stress of driving down to the wedding shop the night before the wedding and will make the experience far less stressful.

Organising a wedding can soon begin to take over your life with every spare moment of every day becoming consumed with the preparations that need to be completed to make the day a success. To make life easier for you many wedding suit companies trade on Sundays. Ordinarily to exploit this service you should make sure that you contact your chosen company to arrange an appointment.

Finally you must remember to include all members of the group that will be wearing wedding suits to attend the fitting. It is no good forgetting to invite your best man to the fitting and assuming that he will fit into the suit that you presume will fit him. Remember that getting it right is important you will have photos of this day adorning your walls for the rest of your life so you'll regret it if you don't look the part.
