What Causes Acne And How To Get Rid Of It Permanently
By:Shakil Zaman
Acne occurs when a certain bacteria in the skin called the propioibacterium acnes grows excessively. However, what is it that causes this bacteria to grow too much. The answer appears to vary from person to person. For some people simply switching to an effective topical acne treatment and skin cleansing system works. For others a change in diet may be required to keep the growth of this bacteria under control.
Another potential cause of acne could be from rising hormone levels known as androgens that increase during puberty in both males and females. This may be the reason why so many teenagers suffer from acne during puberty and then many report the acne going away once they get older. There can also be several other factors that can trigger your acne to get worse.
Many girls and women use cosmetics excessively that can clog the pores and make acne worse. There are also many drugs that can have side effects that can also make your acne condition worse. Also make sure to not rub your face or pick your existing acne as this can introduce dirt and particles that can clog your pores. When you are washing your face be sure to be gentle and not rub hard against your skin as this can cause further irritation.
It may be best to use a cleanser that is gentle and has predominantly natural ingredients. Avoid harsh chemicals that can cause skin dryness and irritation. Also search for cleansers that have gentle abrasives that will help to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Using a gentle toner of some sort can also be a good idea especially if you have oily skin as this will help to remove further dirt and oil.
There are many creams and lotions you can buy that have acne fighting chemicals in them like benzoyl peroxide or salycilic acid. If you choose to try these kinds of products then select something that is gentle on the skin and has low concentrations of these chemicals. There are also many natural and home made cleansers you can use that can often be very effective. In addition consider visiting a local health food store and ask for natural cleansers as these kinds of stores tend to carry the most gentle products.
Long term stress can also make your acne worse so it is important to learn how to manage stress. Regular exercise can be a great way to reduce stress. There are basically two kinds of exercise and that is aerobics and strength training. Aerobics is important to introduce more oxygen into the body and it has many health benefits including the possibility of reducing acne. Strength training is great for building and maintaining muscle mass which is important for many health purposes also.
Make exercise a regular part of your life as it offers many significant health benefits.
Also you could get regular exercise by taking up a sport like golf, tennis or basketball. If possible consider buying a good piece of fitness equipment as this will allow you to exercise from the convenience of your home. Joining a local gym can also offer many benefits since you will have access to a much wider range of equipment which can help to prevent boredom.
Deep breathing exercises can also be effective at stress reduction. Simply take a slow deep breath in and then slowly out. You may even want to pause for a few seconds between the inhalation and exhalation. Make sure that you feel comfortable with each breath and do not strain yourself in any way. Keep an open mind and try new things in order to help you get rid of acne permanently.
