Life Insurance: A Product That Cannot Be Bought When Needed
By:Clive Green
All people have certain needs that must be satisfied. Some of these things include food, clothing, shelter, medicine, etc. Food is needed by the body in order for it to function well. These foods can give nutrition that can enhance the body’s immune system to fight disease. When you are hungry, you would usually find food to eat. This food can satisfy the hungriness that you feel and can give you emotional satisfaction. In these ways, food supports life and prevents death.
In terms of clothing and shelter, you would do the same. If you feel cold, you would usually get a jacket or a sweater to bring back the body heat that you have lost to your environment. These things can help you ease the coldness that you feel.
Another need is medicine. You take medicine when you have illness or disease, and this medicine will serve as a cure to the illness that you have. In this simple comparison, you can discover that these needs are only bought or taken up when the need is present. In contrast to these needs, there is a product that you cannot buy when you need it, and that is life insurance.
Many people, when offered insurance coverage, say that they don’t need it yet. They say that they have different priorities for now. These people have the right to say that because that’s the way they feel about these things. But you should not think as these people do. You should remember that life insurance is a unique product. It cannot be bought in the times that you feel that you need it. Life insurance is a product that can only be bought when you don’t need it. It can only be bought in your productive years and not in your declining years.
In your productive years, you are still physically strong having no diseases and illnesses. This is the time that life insurance is much more applicable. In the decline stage when your body is suffering from many severe illnesses, life insurance is not applicable. No insurance company would sell life insurance coverage when a person is near to his death or having severe diseases. In buying a life insurance policy, you should consider the time that you have. You should decide to buy in your productive years where life insurance is not needed, because it will not be available for you when the time comes that you feel you need it.
