The Top Ten Ways to Drive Traffic to your Web
Site

The general question I hear more and
more is, how does one drive traffic to their website? As a long time internet
user , I first started with a web page back on Talkcity. One thing I have
learned from my experience is it is not any traffic we need ,but targeted
traffic. We want our visitors to keep coming back. So how do you give your
visitors what they want? I have put together ten useful suggestions for keeping
your website visitors coming back again and again.

1.Exchange links. Link exchanging is a great way to drive traffic. If you
have found someone you would like to link with send them a courteous and polite
email stating you would like to exchange links with them.
2.Sign guest books - many people have guest books on their websites that
you can sign. Most of them allow you to put a link to your website when signing
and they will in return visit and sign your guestbook. I have made many friends
this way.
3.Submit it to free search engines - Research shows that 85% of web
traffic comes from search engines. This handy tool will submit your site to 106
search engines.

4.give away awards.- An award could be "Professional Designed Site Award"
or something focused around your web theme that you yourself create in paint
shop.
5.Write free articles-By writing free articles yourself, you can not only
put it up on your own web site, but also provide it to others for their use with
a bi-line at the end of the article with a link to your web site. Then you can
submit your articles to any Ezine. Ezinearticles.com allows you to share your free
expert content.
6. Word of mouth to your friends- Be sure to send your link out to your
email list and ask them to refer your site , you can also add a handy little
script that allows visitors to refer your site to their friends.
