Tossing and Turning In an Adjustable Bed? Nonsense!
By:Emmanuel DeFreitas
I am going to tell you why you absolutely, definitely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, must get an adjustable bed! If you find yourself more pooped, or just as pooped, in the morning than when you went to sleep, you need an adjustable bed. Your sleep system definitely has a correlation to your capability for a good nights sleep. Your sleep system is comprised of several integral elements. Unless you live in a third world country, your sleep system includes a bed frame, a mattress, pillows, sheets and blankets. Anything else you have in your bedroom can be classified as superfluous and does not profit your facility for a good night sleep.
I have tried ad infinitum, in many an article, to stress the importance of breaking a perilous, draining cycle of petulance brought on by tossing and turning in a regular bed. It seems that no matter how many times you fluff your pillow or shift around your sheets, that position of comfort you seek is unattainable. To add compounded misery, if you are married, your darling better half also has the same problem that you do. After all, you are both sleeping in the same uncomfortable bed.
Just when you are finally worn down to the point that you actually are about to go to sleep, your spouse will shift and do the old toss and turn routine. This usually snaps you back to the starting point of your quest to grab any semblance of a half decent rest. Snap, Crackle and Pop used to be a slogan for a commercial promoting breakfast cereal, but in your case it probably is more relevant to your dialogue with your spouse in the morning. Is there any wonder that you are both so cranky in the morning? Now seriously, how much are you willing to pay to actually lighten your burden. No truer phrase was ever spoken than Life is too short and with a lack of sleep it seems to get shorter all the time.
Adjustable beds can give you, on a comfort platform, your life back. In combination with a well-suited adjustable bed mattress, you may actually get the ball rolling towards a feasible new sleep system. A sleep system that in combination with the other elements will actually give you and your spouse a fighting chance against the tossing and turning demon that has tormented you for so long.
An adjustable bed essentially is a sleep system that is tailored to conform to your body. If you feel more relaxed with your head, or feet, or torso, or whatever elevated…. no problem! You do not have to corform to your sleep system, it conforms to you. What a novel idea! We have come a long way from shifting rocks and stones around to make our bed more comfortable. Unfortunately, too many of us do not place enough emphasis on the importance of a fortifying night of rest.
As I have reiterated on many an occasion, we spend a good 30% of our lives in bed. We struggle to make our lives as comfortable as possible in most areas that we consider vital to our happiness. It is most unfortunate that too many of us are not capable of co-relating our incessant tossing and turning with our quality of life. The next time you feel cranky, fatigued, irritable and sleepy in the morning, after a night of tossing and turning, remember this article. All you have to lose is a little money. All you have to gain is immeasurable.
