Get the Best From Your Art Decorations

By:Musa Aykac

So you have been out to the local art store and seen a lovely piece of art work, you have pictured it hanging up in your lounge above the television and could not resist purchasing it. Well you decide to grab one and rush to get home, but now the hard part comes in. A quick rule if you are collecting art work to decorate your home us you should always have more than one piece hanging in the room otherwise it will look a bit odd. So you decide to leave your house or flat and go and buy a couple more pieces.

The buying was easy now comes the task of arranging them to look perfect and get the most attention, if you put it behind your flower pot for example, no one will be able to appreciate the great form of art work. A few tips I can give you are as follows. Firstly you should arrange the art work in even clusters around the room. If you have an even format it is more likely to give people viewing the images a warm and confident feeling. Secondly a great rule is too evenly contrast your artwork in co ordination with your furniture, its always great to use a piece of furniture that will make the artwork look not so big, therefore if you have say a 6ft dinner table and the art work is 10ft it would look quite peculiar.

The most important aspect about hanging any piece of artwork in a room is to get the positioning 100% correct, you do not want to be putting it up to high, the reason for this is simple, when people go to watch a movie in the cinema no one ever really goes to sit in the front seats area, for the simple fact that you can get a better view from the back. It's exactly the same thing when positioning your images, keep them at a level that is most comfortable for the majority of people. Also keep in mind what sort of room you will be putting the artwork into. If it is a lounge you will not want the images to be the same height as the television as then people will get distracted.

Finally you should always remember to not make the art work look cluttered, so leave a nice gap between each of them so that they are spread around the room evenly making each picture keep its perfect uniqueness. These are the basic techniques that will help you decorate your home to perfection.
