By:Daniel Lesser

If you are an internet marketer, how many times have you heard the words blog or web log or how about internet diaries? If you have been active on the internet for the past couple years, you have doubtless heard it a million times.

What you might not have knowledge of is that blogging is not only one of the fastest and least difficult ways to get indexed in Google, Yahoo & MSN but it is also a massive source of income that is just waiting for you to pick up your slice.

Blogging has actually been around for quite a some time but only up until recently have online as well as offline marketers, become aware of how powerful this medium is.

Publishing a blog allows you to immediately put together new web pages with rich content. These new pages can be linked to/from the home page of your present website and/or promoted separately. By creating fresh content-rich website pages and promoting them from your home page or through other means, you will be achieving two important things:

1) You will provide more quality for your website visitors. This improves the stickiness of your website making people stick on the site longer and finally believe you more. On the Internet, have confidence in translates to profits!

2) Google , yahoo and the rest LOVE fresh post produced by blogs. By publishing your own blog and adding fresh content to it regularly, you will draw in the attention of the major search engines who will list your website in their directories for FREE. That is right! When you are able to have pages of your blog in the search engines, you will start gaining free qualified traffic to your web site without having to pay a dime for it. Remember, Google Adwords? Imagine running a large and comprehensive Google Adwords campaign without having to pay anything for it. That is exactly what you can achieve by publishing your blog.

So how do you set up a blog? Well this blog is provided by Wordpress. To obain your own Wordpress blog;

* Sign up with a web host with CPanel for a small monthly fee

* Install WordPress with just a couple clicks of the mouse, using Fantastico on your website's CPanel

* Either do one of the pre-installed themes, or browse the various themes available at WordPress (and on numerous other sites) to choose one that suits your personality or business

* Upload the theme you choose to the wp_post folder, using a straightforward FTP program (such as WS_FTP or Cute FTP)

* Start posting your articles or comments

* Include extra pages to your site (if you choose to)

Now that you can include separate pages to blogs - just as you can with a standard website - numerous people are turning to them as their preferred method of building a website. By using numerous plugins, it's possible to do pretty well anything you choose.

What Are "Plugins"?

Plugins are extra features available for your blog to make your life easier. You can get plugins, for example, that will:

- assist you block spam

- make it easy to upload and sort your photos

- ping the search engines so they know when you've added new content

- insert Adsense blocks so you can earn cash from your blog

There are quite a number of plugins available now - take some time to find out what they will do.

You can find advice on installing wordpress and using plug ins by just typing 'how to make use of Wordpress' into a search engine.

Spend an hour or two browsing, and you'll see why a blog is a very viable option for establishing your presence on the Net.

BLOGS! What a crazy name for the "NEWEST" Internet marketing trend to hit the Internet. But, I like it. It makes this new form of communication kind of mysterious in a way, though, BLOGS have been around for quite some time and only recently have been recognized as a VERY valuable asset to Internet marketers. Recently, I was visiting some Internet marketing related Forums and noticed many of the threads having similar "Subjects" saying.

  • 9). Are you Blogging Effectively?  By : Joseph Pratt
Perhaps “blogging” isn’t such a graceful word. For me, personally, it sounds like a worded drudgery the way cereals can be soggy, skies can be foggy, and the way minds can be groggy. But for now, it’s too late to rename this shortened word for web-logging. Widespread blogging is nevertheless one of the most engaging Internet developments of the past few years.

  • 10). Blogging: What You Need To Know About Defamation  By : Robert Palmer
Currently there are over 30 million blogs on the internet and thousands more being created each week. Assuming ownership of one blog per person, that’s a minimum of 30 million people slinging around their personal opinions on all that exists under the sun. This is a good thing. The free exchange of thoughts and ideas is what prevents the world from becoming a stagnant pool of dictatorship with the appropriate green scum floating on top.
