Baltimore Maryland is situated along the shores of the vast Chesapeake Bay nearly 200 miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean. It is located approximately 35 miles northeast of Washington DC and 75 miles southwest of Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
It is one of the great eastern coast seaports of the United States with extensive facilities for container shipment and for the transport of automobiles. It is an older city with plenty of character and many historically significant attractions.
With something around every corner to either see or do, Baltimore is certainly an exciting place to visit. Baltimore also has a very rich, cultural history and by touring a historic site like Fort McHenry home of the National Anthem you will gain a new perspective of Baltimore.
Baltimore Inner Harbour is home to a many tasty restaurants, taverns and bars. Sports fans will want to stop at Camden Yards to watch the Baltimore Orioles play ball or catch a Baltimore Ravens football game a short distance away, where its easy to get in on the action, spirit and fun.
Baltimore has a humid subtropical climate, according to the classification, with moderating influence from its relative proximity to the ocean. It gets relatively hot, humid summers and cool, moist winters.
