Storing Cigars The Right Way

By:June Beezy

They say that wine only gets better with age, well so does a Cuban cigar. The aging of Cuban cigars just ads further to the mystique of a fine Cuban. One of the well known Cuban cigar brands such as the Cohiba, actually contain tobacco that has been aged for a minimum 5 years. No wonder people pay what they pay for these beauties. Although all Cuban cigars don't require aging, some of them if stored in a simple place can improve drastically with age. When you get a Cuban cigar, they are ready to go, but if you store it properly, the flavor and the taste would apex for years to come.

Even to this day, experts can't figure out which are the best brands for aging, so the best thing to do is to get your own stash of these stogies and watch them age. When you do decide to age your cigar, make sure that you only age cigars with a darker wrapper. The dark wrapper contains more oil and therefore intensifies the process of aging dramatically and will have a phenomenal effect on your Cigar. Leaving the full-bodied Cuban cigar such as the Cohiba Maduro to age is also highly recommended.

So when you do decide to age a cigar, make sure you leave it in a nice place (Such as a cigar humidor). A good way to kill those long 6 months would be to get a travel-ready humidor and carry that cigar with you. Time will fly in no time and you'll be soon experiencing 'heavenly' taste never felt by any other human being. Even if you do decide to age your cigars in a humidor, make sure you monitor them regularly. Proper care is essential for any Cuban cigars, take care of them like they are your little 'babies', because they are.

Also note that their are three kind of cigar humidors. Room, portable and table. Room is basically a room converted into a humidor. If you have the means, do it as you can store literally unlimited cigars and at the most perfection conditions. Portable humidors are the choice of many especially if you don't smoke a lot and are usually on the run. You can store about 5 cigars in a portable humidor. Now if you are looking for something in your house, go with the table humidor. A little expensive but can be a great addition to your current living room too. Whatever you choice is, get one for sure.

No real changes occurred in the cent from 1918 through 1942. In 1943, the cent would again see a dramatic change although not to its design, but rather due to shortages of copper caused by the war. At the time of World War II, the one-cent coin was composed of 95 percent copper and 5 percent zinc. These metals were denied to the Mint for the duration of the war, making it necessary for the Mint to seek a substitute material.
