Think Backwards and Lose More Weight

In our society today, there are three distinct meals that most families enjoy. These meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner. The nature of these meals seems to be set in stone in the minds of everyone in the United States. Breakfast is a light meal that gets the morning started, lunch is made of of medium sized portions and dinner is the largest meal of all. But, for the human body, these choices may not be the best for those who are trying to lose weight.
At the beginning of the day, we are negative in calories. There has been a time of fasting, i.e... break fast, and the morning meal is the one that will have the longest portion of the day to be utilized. The lunch meal is often larger because of the light breakfast. And the dinner meal is the largest of all because that is the time of day when we feel we can sit down and finally enjoy our food.
Unfortunately, the dinner meal is the one that requires the most activity to burn off the excess calories, but is placed at the end of the day when the human body is the least active. In order to lose weight, flipping the meal script can make more sense than you may think.
In order to flip your daily meals, you will need to prepare the largest meal of the day first. Breakfast should consist of the most calories consumed during the day. For instance, if you are on a weight loss plan that consists of 1200 calories a day. The morning meal can account for 400 of those calories. This allows for the remainder of the 800 calories to be spent on snacks and the other two meals of the day.
Lunch will still be your middle sized meal for the day on this style of weight loss program. The lunch meal should consist of around 300 calories and will generally stay the same as other days. The dinner meal is where the real difference occurs.
At dinner, the meal should only account for 200 calories. This is the normal number of calories in a morning breakfast. So, the day has been flipped. The dinner calories are eaten at breakfast and the breakfast calories eaten at dinner time. The remainder of 300 calories should be split between 3 daily snacks.
This method of weight loss is so effective because the calories are split up into 6 distinct meals, the largest meal has the longest time to burn off and the smallest meal of the day requires less activity to burn. There are no food changes, no changes in what you eat, just a dinner breakfast flip.
Weight loss is often over thought. The real changes in life that lead to prolonged weight loss and weight management require a change in thought more than a change in the foods eaten. By increasing your daily meals to 6 and eating the highest number of calories at the first meal of the day, the body will work more efficiently burn all of the calories eaten and thus the weight will come off quickly and consistently.
