Fight The System Use Your Tax Refund Intelligently

By:Daniel Lehrman

Therapeutically speaking, using your tax refund to buy a guitar and any guitar-resources or equipment is a good investment, very satisfying and personally gratifying.

Think of the possibilities of buying a guitar over the internet and not using a drop of gas to get it. We are not say you shouldn't focus on paying your debts off, or maintaining your living conditions, but, unquestionably, your next best bet is music, specifically a guitar and some online lessons. Stay at home, stay relaxed.

Reward yourself with the gift of learning to playing an instrument. Simply put, if you are in the act of playing your guitar, than how can you think of the economy or any other unpleasant vibes going on worldwide, let alone in our country. Anytime one puts the amount of attention into something that requires the focus of playing a guitar or any musical instrument, than you can't realistically focus very much on anything else. Not only that, but music calms the savage beast. Especially the blues(no relationship to our economy). Music has a direct effect on certain brain cells that cancels out everything but what you are doing at the moment, which in this case is playing a guitar.

Simply put I'm rebelling against the cost of gas(and everything else) and the way the current administration seems to think. Telling us to out tax rebates for essentials like gas and toys. Obviously they think we are morons. Buying gas helps pad their pockets and drains ours. Spending money mindlessly to stimulate the economy is also in the current administrations best interests too. Not necessarily ours!

Reviewing, studying and buying over the internet not only is convenient, but saves gas, which can be applied to your purchase. It also saves time, not having to deal with road rage(it may save you a trip to jail)and traffic jams. Not only that, but smaller local music stores do provide great value to us, but tremendous inventories of thousands of guitars on hand is not one of them.

Don't forget the online tools available at most online guitar stores. Available noe are demonstrations and sound clips of guitars, music stations and gear to listen to. Technology is good, and this is some of the best technology available for getting the right equipment.

Most company's that sell guitars and gear or manufacture it provide hi-tech interactive methods of road-testing the equipment. Having used the tools many times before, I can say with great deal of confidence that the demos work surprisingly well.

Did you know that it is a proven fact that musicians, particularly guitar players, have better memories, reading and righting skills? So buy a guitar, use your newly enhanced memory to remember the high cost of gas and enjoy at least a part of every day. You won't regret it.

Enjoy.

  • 6). Understanding The Purpose Of The Guitar Neck Shim  By : Michael Granger
Some guitars will just NOT adjust properly with the standard methods available like the bridge saddles, nut filing adjustments and the ability to set the bow (or lack thereof) of the neck itself. Adding shims to the bolt on neck may be necessary to get the guitar to play properly at all locations up and down the neck. A nut shim acts as a spacer between the nut and neck raising and lowering the distance between all of the strings at the lower end of the guitar, starting at fret 1 and moving towards the body of the guitar.

You know what they say about rules? Actually they say lots of things about rules but here's two - rules were made to be broken, and you have to know what the rules are before you can break them. While Judge Dredd may not agree with the first, the second is certainly true and nevermore so than in writing a song. The song structure may not be the first thing you think about when you start writing.

Visual Kei followers are characterised by a rather stunning, although freak appearance of a striking make-up and elaborate costumes, causing a shock effect. To recall, for instance, Merlyn Manson, who is among few to follow the style in the US. The trend is popular among modern bands, irrespective of rumours, suggesting that the style suffered no popularity in the USA and Europe.
