Finding the True Value of Pay for Survey Business Evaluations

By:James Lowe

Earning pay to take online surveys is a legitimate work at home Internet business opportunity. You must know where to find the real sources for this work though.

Many sites, many of which are affiliate type, that say they offer you a home online survey business opportunity are offering you only the opportunity to pay out of your pocket! This is not a business when your, up front, money for a listing of those who will pay you to take surveys is going in the wrong direction. Chuckle. Choke.

Most of these firms you can find for yourself, and some are not even current. One consumer advocacy group recently reviewed hundreds of sites and firms offering survey taking as a work at home Internet business opportunity.

Of the hundreds they reviewed they were able to recommend only five. Only do free ones if you are going to do this. Paid ones are, almost always, a waste of your time and money.

It is very easy for a webmaster to set up a Web site offering to pay users for taking online surveys. It only takes a few hours. There are few or zero surveys from this site, more often than not. These sites usually turn out to be only a work at home Internet business opportunity for the programmer who set up the site in the first place.

All others pay up front and get little or nothing of value in return. Even if the lists they offer are any good or the links work (while many times they do not) these are quite often companies that again want up front money for an alleged work at home Internet business taking surveys.

The fees for the initial directories can be as much as $100. This sounds like the next generation of worthless envelope stuffing schemes and is similar in major ways.

What you get for your money is almost always a directory that is out of date. Links that do not work. Phone numbers that are disconnected or reassigned. You also get lots of email addresses that bounce back because the business and concept does not work. Doing surveys is a tough business to make a good profit in.

You do not find any customer service assistance or any refund offer. A sure sign of a weak, unsteady business.

Once you start asking for a refund due to your inability to start a work at home Internet business opportunity from the material you paid them for, you guessed it, they refuse to reply or are even out of business. Then the site is shut down after several dissatisfied buyers report it.

These schemes are not gone, per se, though they are schemes. They merely show up on the Web under a different company name and different domain, literally, in another place.

Even when these alleged work at home Internet business opportunity sites are live their navigation is generally poor. Information, such as contacts, is inadequate and some of the pages do not work.

Some spelling errors exist on good sites but lots of bad spelling and grammar and poor navigation on top of this is a sure sign someone does not know what they are doing. This is dangerous business. Let it go.

Do not pay for any opportunity that has built in errors to start. They will only be more rampant after you join them. Performances like this will only discourage you from the start.

The five sites that the consumer advocate agency recommended as legitimate paid survey work at home Internet business opportunity firms charge fees of up to $60 but actually have staff dedicated to helping you find survey clients and assignments.

They all offer a 100 percent money back guarantee of your money after as many as 45 days. The actual honoring of this agreement has been verified by the agency with each of the five paid survey firms.

With these paid survey sites, the work at home Internet business opportunity may not make you rich but it has legitimate potential for a good income for you. What you can expect for your fee is as many as 25 offers each day to take online surveys for which you are paid about $15 to $25 each. Some of them, though not most, pay as much as $75.

The lower end payment surveys amount to about 5 to 15 minutes of your time, while the higher paying surveys might take 30 minutes. So, a 20 hour week would provide you with an approximate monthly income of $1600.

Not bad for something with the benefits of work at home Internet business opportunity projects, little overhead, your own personal dress code, little training or experience required and hours that you are free to set for yourself.
