Sudoku Tips And Tricks Make Puzzle Solving Fun
By:Chris Marshall
It may seem especially difficult when learning how to work numbers puzzles in the beginning but as players become more accustomed to the puzzles they learn a few Sudoku tips and tricks to make solving the puzzles faster and quicker. After all, many people turn to puzzles and brain teasers as a way of relaxing and it is not very calming when exasperation takes over. Learning a few Sudoku tips and tricks can remove a lot of the frustration and make solving these puzzles more fun.
When a person first sits down with a Sudoku puzzle, the first thing they have to have, in addition to a supply of sharp pencils, is time. Sudoku tips and tricks will make solving the puzzles quicker but when first learning they will take some time and a lot of pencils. If they have access to a copy machine, they may want to make a copy of the puzzle they cut out of the newspaper, as the newsprint will not hold up under repeated erasures.
The pencils should be sharp, but not so sharp they can cause serious bodily harm. When frustration begins to set in, they should also have the courage to stand up and walk away from the puzzle until they can figure out some of the Sudoku tips and tricks and move on to solving the puzzle.
Solving Puzzles By Logical Thinking Only
For Sudoku masters, it is considered cheating to guess at a number in any block and most experienced puzzlers will go through the nine numbers one at a time to see where they are candidates for each block. For example, one of the best Sudoku tips and tricks used is to begin with the puzzle with its clues in place and then see in which row and column a number one might be able to go.
Once they have gone through all of the open blocks with the number one, they can go back through with the number two, then three and so on until they have penciled in potential candidates in all open squares. Continuing with this thought process, Sudoku tips and tricks then takes them back through the puzzle to determine which of the possible numbers can be ruled out for all open squares.
Once that has been, there will be many squares where the number that fits is obvious and they can be penned in. Then they can use the same Sudoku tips and tricks to go through the puzzle grid again to eliminate additional numbers and solve the puzzle.
