What Is Your Wish for the New Year?
By:Gerri D Smith
Enter into the love of life--the glory of each new day; go forth to meet life with a smile, and life meets you more than halfway! - Helen Lowrie Marshall
If you could be granted three wishes for the coming year of 2008, what would they be? Would you reward yourself for any successful personal and business accomplishments? Would you improve your skills wherever and whenever needed? And would you grant yourself unlimited prosperity?
You can create your own future by focusing your thoughts on what you wish to accomplish. Know that you are responsible for everything that happens in your life, both good and bad.
With the beginning of each new year, you are given the opportunity to pause and reflect on your activities of the past year. Is there anything you would do differently?
Here is a long list of wishes you might consider for the coming year. Pick two or more from the list. Try them everyday, and by the end of 2008, if you are not a new person, you will feel better for trying!
1. Give more of your time, money, and thoughtfulness to others. Know that
your relationship with giving is the spiritual source of your true prosperity
2. Exercise more to stay in good health
3. Walk more to stay fit
4. Pray more and increase your trust and faith
5. Criticize or complain less
6. Be more considerate of the feelings of others
7. Prepare and eat healthier foods
8. Work on changing all negative habits
9. Follow His guidance in all things you attempt to do
10. Make a habit to listen more than you talk, and be open to understanding a different point of view
11. Achieve something worthwhile. Set goals for each day and take specific actions that will help you accomplish them
12. Learn a new skill and increase your knowledge in areas you don't now have.
13. Seek and master new ways to do something that has already been done -and- do it better!
14. Use the power of reasoning by giving whatever it is you desire the highest
amount of your attention
15. Make a concentrated effort to improve, grow, and prosper and make a choice to be happy by keeping a positive attitude
16. Do whatever it takes to improve your personal and business image
17. Treat your life, family, friends, and others you meet as a precious gift to be enjoyed and valued. Regard them with a love that is special and - it will all come back to you
18. Send forth good and see it multiply
19. Be eager to learn new things
20. Honor every one you come in contact with today, tomorrow, and make it an ongoing wish. This too, is paid back to you by the Universe
21. Show compassion for those less fortunate then you are. Offer ways to help
others whenever and wherever you can. Give only good. The more you give of
yourself, the more comes back to you
22. Learn to celebrate and share your abilities so that you can attract more of the
same
23. Use each day of this new year wisely and with gratitude for every hour, every
minute, and every second you are granted
24. Find new opportunities, then move toward your goal with a spiritual awareness
25. Look at the world with a positive vision
May all your wishes come true, and may this New Year bring you many blessings of good health, dreams to come true, prayers to be answered, and gratitude for everything now and to come. And do have fun!
