Why Essex Recruitment Agencies Help People Move Up The Career Ladder

By:Anna Stenning

Living in Essex for most of my life has made me realise that recruitment is a scarce and rare thing to come across, which can only mean relocation. It is unfair to think that at some point in your life you will need to make the sacrifices for your chosen career. For others this is not such bad thing as this is the moment they have been waiting for in a long time. Many people will agree that this requires plenty of confidence and motivation to confront the big bad world.

There is a way of speed jumping onto getting your foot onto that coveted career ladder. Often waiting for that window of opportunity to come along is not the most practical way of moving forward. Graduates alike will face the depressing notion of unemployment to begin with and some may even opt to finding some part-time work to fill their time or for a bit of quick cash. My first instinct was to approach an Essex recruitment agency considering I did not intend to move away.

Recruitment agencies, particularly specialised ones are good at finding temporary jobs close to your chosen career path. At my local Essex recruitment agency were helpful enough to advise me on what I would need to do to improve my employability prospects and work with me to improve the look of my CV. Other recruitment agencies outside of the Essex county work in a similar way, some may even help you to prepare for potential or upcoming interviews.

These skills will come in useful for future interviews that have not been organised by the agency, as this will better prepare you to give good answers and how to present yourself well. As well as picking up good interview skills, you are also given advice how to execute your words properly in order to sound more professional. This in turn will help to build upon your own self-confidence when approaching professional bodies.

Many people have underestimated the recruitment agency route, yet they are unaware that these have been successful in getting your foot in the door of securing a permanent position. It is true however, that many of your local recruitment agencies will focus more on the area that you are living in, such my local Essex recruitment agency concentrated on finding me a job in Essex. This would work the same way with London job agencies, as effectively the idea is to keep clients satisfied with find candidates that do not have a problem travelling into work.

Employers are always on the lookout for what candidates can bring to the company. Most of all they all prefer to find candidates within the catchment area, to avoid any issues of transportation. Naturally, this is unavoidable in most circumstances, as many people from Essex commute into London for their job. This has become a daily trend and one that can cause the most stress and taking much of their time out of their day.

When looking for that perfect job, try to avoid being fussy and stick to something that will be beneficial to you in the long run. In other words, look for something that will bump up your CV. If there is work experience going in the field that you are interested in, then contact the company. These are normally unpaid, so it is a good idea to get a part-time job just to keep the money coming in. Recruitment agencies may help you with this, but you will need to be specific without narrowing your options down.
