iPod video downloads are downloaded in the tune of millions from many online sources daily. Two big time sources are iTunes and other major music stores, and peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks. If you intend to download iPod videos from P2P networks, there are some things you need to know.

Basically, there are two components that work hand in hand in utilizing P2P networks for iPod video downloads. You would need a P2P search tool or client application and a P2P network. There are practically dozens of P2P networks and client applications to choose from. It is good to exercise some prudence when picking the right network and software to use. So what are the things you should look out for?

1. Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Client Application

User interface of the P2P client application must be easy to navigate but yet packed with powerful features. Check out to ensure that they are compatible with the major P2P networks. Most of these applications are paid software.

There is one aspect you have to be careful with. Some client applications are also malware, or malicious software designed to infiltrate our PC database. Malware mostly consist of adware and spyware to advertise their sponsor products and services or to collect personal data. We obviously do not want our privacy to be infringed upon so pay extra attention to the type of P2P client applications we use.

Persistent adware and spyware can be hard to remove and may cause you to lose important data or damage your file registry. You would not want to waste time and money buying anti-adware or spyware protection software or reformat your hard drive.

To be fair, users have been using several better P2P client applications for iPod video downloads without the problems mentioned.

2. Peer-to-Peer (P2P) File Sharing Network

One grouse some P2P users have is the long queues they experience when accessing iPod video downloads. The problem with certain P2P networks is the low server resources that get overloaded easily.
