Correcting A Bent or Curved Penis : Is Surgery The Best Option?
By:Gary Toh
Do you have a bent penis and is suffering from it? If so, you will be happy to know that your condition is treatable and there is no need to go under the knife.
The curse of a bent or curved penis affects many guys, age notstanding. If you have one, you may notice that it is sometimes painful to have sex. Having one could mean that you're suffering from Peyronies Disease or it could be that your penis is naturally curved.
Whatever it is, there is help for you. But some basic facts....
1) What causes a curved or bent penis ?
A bent penis could be a natural thing for some guys. For others, it could due to fibrous plaques along the penile tissues caused by Peyronies Disease. If you have a curved or bent penis and you don't feel any pain during erections and intercourse, you should be safe. But if you experience pain, discomfort or a softening in your erections with time, then you may have the dreaded Peyronies Disease.
2) What is Peyronies Disease ?
i) Peyronies Disease is a disease affecting men of all ages. It is the inflammation and scarring of a part of the male sexual organ - the elastic tissue that forms the wall of the penis shaft (the corpora cavernosa).
ii) Although doctors don't really know what causes Peyronies Disease, they do know the effects -
a) The deposits of hard lumps or fibrous plaques on the walls of the penis can cause a bent or curve in the penis during erection . Even though these plaques are not cancerous, they can be rather painful and uncomfortable.
b) These same deposits of fibrous plaques can also cause temporary erectile dysfunction(ED).
3)So what should you do if you have a bent penis (whether due to Peyronies or not)?
If you have a bent penis and it is affecting your sex life and self esteem, than you may consider surgery but this is not a very good solution. Why? Because although surgery can help restore any loss in sexual functions, it is useless in correcting the penis curvature.
Surgery is a complicated, risky and expensive procedure ( at least $5,500 ) that does not solve your problem completely. Luckily, there are some non-surgical alternatives in the form of penis traction devices (or stretchers) and medications that you can use.
In fact, the penis traction device is your best solution for a correction a curved or bent penis. And it is doctor approved as well.
4) What is a penis traction device and what can it do for you?
Basically, a penis traction device works on the same principle of traction used in orthopedic surgery. The penis traction device or penis stretcher exerts a measured, constant traction force over the length of the penis. It is this traction force that:-
i) decreases penile incurvation
ii) decreases size and consistency of fibrous plaques
iii) assists recovery of penile length
iv) broadens and lengthens the penis
By the way, the penis stretcher a little gadget that you can conveniently wear under loose clothings at work or at home.
And the good thing is that there is no known negative side effects on the user. Plus it cost just a fraction of the price of penile surgery.
5) But, which penis stretcher should you buy?
Look for one that carries the stamp of approval from the EU since most, if not all, of these devices are manufactured in Europe. Also look for a reputable merchant with great customer service support and good money back guarantee.
