By now we are all aware of the importance of keeping ourselves in good health. Anyone who has a television or access to the internet knows that our health is one of the most valuable things we have. The power of information brought to us in every increasing speeds and volumes has increased our ability to make money like never before. Information for the businessman is everything and so the database provides him more power to work with his everything.

I have had the privilege to travel to all fifty states in America over the last ten years. For some reason, all of my training in writing has somehow qualified me to travel our great country and to take in some of the best (and worst) things that cities all over the US have to offer. So I've spent my fair share of time in cities all over the country, and I'll be the first to tell you that few cities compare to the charm of Charleston.

When many people think of foam insulation they think of staying warm in the winter and saving money on their heating bills. This is especially common thinking in the northern climes where for a while houses were not insulated very well. Just an innocent question and one that I don’t have any for sure answers to but one that deserves at least some thought. I am thinking them number one because my lovely brother-in-law has me writing these joyous articles for him as his employee and also because electronic parts are one of the most frustrating parts for me of the technology boom that has happened in the last 100 (but way more quickly in the last 30) years.

Ever since I was little I have loved going to different cities and countries to learn from people and places that were different than what I was familiar with. My love for travel and for learning about different cultures only grew as I got older and eventually I went to university to study Urban and International Development. I chose this major simply because it would teach me about two of my favorite things: cities and other countries.

Sometimes it is good to reflect on how life would be if you did not have some of the things that are so useful to us but that we take for granted as we live each day. Things like ample amounts of food you will appreciate better if you fast once in a while. Or maybe electricity, which if not available because of a storm or plant failure can literally shut down our world as we know it.
16). Does A Mother Board Still Exist?
The answer is yes, and I am going to explain what a mother board is in this article so you can understand not only that they exist but also in what capacity that they exist. A mother board (or mobo for short) is the main circuit system in a complicated electronical system like a computer which is the most common thing in which they exist. It is the command station, if you will, and if you are going to add anything on to the system it will have to go through and be compatible with the mother board.

It today's day and age, many people are learning a second, third or even forth language. There are probably many reasons to learn languages other than your own. Some people just love learning about foreign cultures, and therefore they choose to study a foreign language to help them understand a culture even further. Others learn a language such as Spanish or Chinese to help prepare them for a career that they hope to have or for preparation to travel to a foreign land.

As an artist, I have grown to appreciate all kinds of art. It took me studying art in college to really learn the fact that all people have different ideas of what art is and of what beauty is. I learned that I can value something as beautiful and that the next person might see it as strange or even lacking beauty. This is okay. And that is the true beauty of art.

There is perhaps nothing better than getting away from the rut of every day life and going on a vacation to a new and unfamiliar place. I love the rush I get by from exporing a new place with friends or family. It has become a priority for me in making any travel plans to find a discount car rental well in advance.

When you ask most young boys and girls what they want to do when they grow up, you will be hard pressed to find one that wants to be a farmer. That wouldn't be true fifty or one hundred years ago, but it is true today. There are many reasons that most children do not grow up with intentions of being a farmer, but probably the single biggest factor in their choice comes from what they see their parents doing.
25). Plant A Flower Garden And Enjoy It
There are many ways to improve the look and feel of your home and lawn. I love seeing people do the small extra things that make their houses into homes. There is nothing worse than coming home to a house you hate at the end of a long and stressful day. I always encourage people to take the time and energy to make the inside and outside of their homes something that is enjoyable and relaxing for them to spend time in.
26). What Can I Do To Get An Accurate Car Value?
The need to find out an appropriate car value is common and very necessary to make wise financial decisions. Buyers want to know what to list their car’s price at. Sellers want to get an idea about how much a car is worth so they can limit their search and so that they can make sure that the price of a car is legitimate and that they aren’t getting cheated when they decide to purchase a car.
27). Credit Rating: What Is It And Why Should I Pay Attention?
Far too few people know about something that has a huge impact on their life—their credit rating. They often learn about it after it is too late and pay dearly for it. You see you start forming your score as soon as you become a regular consumer which for a lot of people is during High School and for most is at least by the time they enter college. The problem is that they don’t know what this mysterious entity is all about and make decisions that they rue financially.

The question is should I spend the extra several bills to purchase a flat panel monitor, or should I stick the fad out with my very functional regular box monitor? The answer is that there is no answer. There are a few things in life that I'm quite sure of. I guess I have learned along the way and become convinced about more things as I've gotten older. For example, I am convinced that work is a normal and important part of life. Twenty years ago I thought I could somehow be the first person to make it through life without working. I've also realized that relationships are harder than anything else in life, but they are also the most valuable.

If you have the important responsibility of determining what schooling situation is best for your children, then please take your time and make an informed decision based on as much research as you can handle. I hear people talking about internet dating all the time. I have a large number of friends and co-workers that are obsessed with finding the right person online. It has almost become comical to me the way a person will go home after work at night and spend their entire evening looking for someone to love online when they live in a city full of great people.

If you and your family or friends are needing to take a break for a weekend or a week, consider taking a trip to a ski resort. Everyone needs to get away once in a while, and there are few ways to spend time in such a relaxing and enjoyable manner as a trip to a ski resort.
Visiting a ski resort as a family is a great vacation for many reasons. First of all, it is tons of fun.
34). My Year On A House Boat
Like many young people, I graduated from college with no clue of what to do next. Sure, I had a degree, but what did that really mean anyway? I still had a craving to head off on my own and see the world. I wanted to explore and put the books away for a while. I came up with the best plan ever: I would move to Amsterdam and live on a house boat with an artist friend I had met during a semester of study there.

The obsession with health rages on in our country and around the world. People are consumed by counting their calories and by getting in an extra few minutes at the gym. Well it might be wise to start this column off by stating that it comes with a bias. I love the Atlantic Ocean and I would not move away from it in a million years. My bias comes from the first 22 years of my life living on the beaches of Santa Barbara over on the west coast.
Not what you expected to hear I bet! Most people that grow up in California either stay there, right on the coast, or at least stay on the western side of the states where they can at least enjoy the mountains.

Classic cars and their auto parts are a tradition of this country. The USA is unique in its value of the personal rights of the individual citizen including the right to personal property. This means that there are a lot of collectors and just like anything else that people value cars break and need replacement parts.

41). DVD Player Software?
When I first read this topic name I didn’t want to touch it with a ten foot pole! After all what the heck is dvd player software? My dvd player doesn’t have any place to put floppy disks or cd-ROMs and I have never seen that advertised in the store or on TV (And for me if it aint on TV it aint real). So I was about to write it off… … and then I remembered.

First lets talk about what a dedicated server is. A dedicated server is kind of what it sounds like. Well answer some more questions… Do you like music? Do you find it convenient to download and store music on your computer/ipod(or other type of mp3 player)? Do you hate how long it takes to download music? Do you like to make mixes? Do you find it difficult to keep your collection organized on your computer? Well… if you answer yes to several of these questions than you probably would find it worth your while to invest in some good music software.

How many people realize how much of their privacy is not really private? How many people are unaware that they are being watched closely? Well there is no concrete number but it is certainly many many more than you would think. There are more spies around you than you think doing investigations on you right and left that you are completely oblivious to.

There are many finer things in life, things that only the rich and famous get to experience. For most of us, we miss out on the 'best' experiences in life due to lack of money or popularity. I used to think that a charter flight was a luxury that I, as a common person, would have to do without and simply be left wondering about. That isn't the case.
46). I Enjoyed The Day With Cardinals
I recently packed up some belongings and headed to a local park where I planned to spend the entire day. I did this because I was overwhelmed with the busyness of life and I knew that I needed to get away in order to have some effective hours of writing for my next book. So I packed the books I was reading, my three journals, a picnic lunch, plenty of water and tea, my camera, and my favorite blanket and I was off for a day at the park.

There are many pleasures in life, but few are as great as owning and caring for one or many pets. I have been a pet lover ever since I was a kid, and I have never owned less than three dogs at a time for as longas I can remember. My parents were dog lovers as well, and they raised us right. I remember being fascinated with methods for training our dogs from the time I was young.
48). Not A Day Without A Dictionary
There are many small ways to make your days a little more full and to take every opportunity for learning. As a teacher, I am passionate about seeing people grasp what a privilege and a blessing that learning is. If you are blessed enough to live in a place that allows or better yet encourages you to further your education, then I believe that it is right and good of you to do that.
49). Take Time To Gather Decorating Ideas
One of the things that drives me the craziest about people who are decorating their new homes is seeing them rush into many decisions and then regret them soon after. As an interior designer, that is the worst thing I see. It might be surprising that one of the biggest things I have to tell people is to relax, slow down and enjoy the process of gathering decorating ideas before they commit to anything.
50). What I Love About My Father
I have been thinking a lot about my father ever since we celebrated Father's Day together earlier this summer. This is by no means the first time that I've ever thought about what makes my father such a special person in my life, but I have been far more intentional about reflecting on him in the past few weeks than ever before.
Perhaps I feel urgent about reflecting on my father's life and impact because he is getting older and becoming more and more like an old man.
