1). Death of a Salesman? It’s What Happens When the Customer Says “I’ll Think It Over!”
I was selling employment testing material that was based on the teachings of a well-known sales trainer. The question that brought the most conversation was about closing. How do you ask for an order? When someone says I’ll think it over, do you become the nice customer service type that says “fine, call me when you’re ready” or do you go for the throat and say “what is there to think about?” You know the first response is totally wrong and the second, which is the suggested answer, will probably turn the customer off.

2). Death Of A Salesman? It’s What Happens When The Customer Says “I’ll Think It Over!”
Michael Jordan said “Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it”

You have given a great presentation, you ask for the order and the customer says he‘s going to think it over. This was the moment I felt was the last straw. I’d had it! I don’t want to sell anymore; I’m going back to bookkeeping! So, without a care in mind I said whatever came to mind and it worked! Let me share my epiphany with you.

3). Do You Dare Throw Away the Script and Start a Conversation!
Stop the sales pitch and start talking and listening to your customer. “It’s an amazing feeling, says Helen Robinson, when you feel the rapport, that mutual trust you’re building with the customer.”

4). How About a “Natural High” Instead Of Those Mood Altering Drugs?
A few years ago I retired from a very active management position and suddenly found myself spending most of my time at home. I sat at the computer, read my email, played ten different kinds of solitaire, read food recipes which made me hungry and I ate a lot. I read, I watched TV and did all the crossword puzzles I could get my hands on. Not only was I bored; I had become boring.

5). How About a “Natural High” Instead Of Those Mood Altering Drugs?
Researchers have found that exercise releases serotonin into the brain and creates a feeling of euphoria. If you can achieve a "natural high" a sense of well-being without the Prozac and the other depression drugs and do away with the serious side effects

6). I Pulled A Fast One On My Obese Husband – Now He’s Skinny And Loving It!
I really didn’t mean to be devious. I was worried about his health and mine. I finally went cold turkey and gave up my two pack-a-day cigarette habit and put on 40 lbs. He weighed 241 lbs. and tried every diet in creation. After being on that famous high-protein diet, bacon and eggs every morning and steak for dinner, he wound up having a triple bypass.

7). I Pulled A Fast One on My Obese Husband – Now He’s Skinny and Loving It!
How cooking 'tasty comfort food' meals, lower in fat and calories will produce weight loss without the gimmick dieting.

8). Isn’t It Interesting That You Are Never Bored When Your Head Is In The Refrigerator?
At the age of 70 I retired. Happy days were ahead. I could do what I want, when I want and if I want to do nothing that’s okay too. I watched daytime TV, did the crossword puzzles, read the newspapers, and kept in touch with friends and family through email. I played some games on the computer and checked out the internet. Of course, I ate a lot because the food was there.

9). Shrimp & Egg Lovers Take Heart . . . Gurus Say, “They’re Low in Fat and Good For You.”
Well conducted studies now show that low-fat shrimp and eggs, substituted for fatty foods, do not raise blood cholestero and are not a major contributor to heart disease. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition says despite all that colesterol, shrimp is perfectly good for you.

This is no longer a health concern, because shrimp is low-fat with a rich content of highly unsaturated fatty acids, which lead to the formation of high-density lipids (HDL), commonly known as "good cholesterol".

10). Shrimp & Egg Lovers Take Heart... Gurus Say, “They’re Low In Fat And Good For You.”
I love shrimp! I love eggs! I begged and pleaded, don’t take them away from me. All these years the nutritional gurus have been telling us they’re high in cholesterol and if you eat these two foods you will have a heart attack! Now, well conducted studies show that low-fat shrimp and eggs, substituted for fatty foods, do not raise blood cholesterol and are not a major contributor to heart disease.

Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you can't, you are usually right.” If you really want to improve yourself, know that you can. You will not be dieting, you will be changing ingredients and you will give in to some changes without turning

12). They Say “Look In The Mirror, Don’t See Fat, See Beautiful!” That’s Not Going To Make You Healthy Or Unclog Your Arteries Or Improve Your Diabetes
Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you can't, you are usually right.” If you really want to improve yourself, know that you can. You will not be dieting, you will be changing ingredients and you will give in to some changes without turning your nose up before trying. It took a long time to put that weight on, it will come off, but not in 6 weeks like the skinny models on your TV screen.

13). To the Salesmen Who Have Prejudged Me. . . . I Want You to Know the Costly Mistakes You Made
My new husband and I relocated to a new city, from the East to the West. We started a marketing company and soon after, opened a printing plant. The hard work and the long hours started to pay off and it was time to purchase a home. We found a brand new 2 bedroom, 2400 sq. ft. beauty. An in-floor spa in the master bathroom, an atrium with skylight in the living room, it was really a lovely place.

Salespeople who prejudge prospects based on appearances, the car in the driveway or the home they live in are missing out on some of the best clients. Having experienced this personally, I hope the two salesmen who decided I couldn’t possibly be a buyer

Salespeople who prejudge prospects based on appearances, the car in the driveway or the home they live in are missing out on some of the best clients. Having experienced this personally, I hope the two salesmen who decided I couldn’t possibly be a buyer are reading this. They never knew how much they lost.

16). Who’s the First Person to Greet Your Customer?
I approached her sliding glass window and stood in back of a gentleman whom I assumed she was helping. After about three minutes, I realized he was waiting for the office manager and she could have acknowledged my presence. I stepped up to the window; she did not say good morning; she did not smile; she just glared at me. I started to speak; she pointed a finger at a clip board with a paper to fill out.
