1). 1and1 Hosting - Raising the bar
First, I have to admit. I'm a terrible customer. I'm a demanding perfectionist who rarely feels that he is getting his money's worth. This is especially true of hosting providers. In the past four years, I've had to change providers at least six times because I felt that I was not getting what I paid for. This brief commentary is somewhat of a treat.

The free Silktide Sitescore is one of those tools that every webmaster should know about and use. However, you should also take it's results with a grain of salt. As with many tools like this, there is a way to manipulate your results in your favor, if you know the tricks. Nevertheless, for legitimate uses, it is an invaluable resource that will help you raise the bar on the overall quality of your website.
3). Get free advertising while helping MWR grow!
MyWebResource is a site that was initially published to list all my favorite webmaster resources. At first, it was more of a personal site where I kept all my bookmarks and projects I've worked on. Surprisingly, the site started getting a ton of hits. I found that people actually enjoyed browsing a site that had usable information about web design that is not loaded down with a million ads and is not a "free for all" link directory.
4). Impressions of The Rich Jerk eBook
By now, if you haven't heard of "The Rich Jerk", you've either been living in a cave for the past year, or you are extremely new to earning a living online. This guy is everywhere. His offensive approach is enough to repel most, and his website is like a chapter out of "Nightmare on Internet Marketers Street". But you have to admit one thing; this guy knows exactly what he's doing!
Ok, before you even say it, I know what you're thinking.
5). Open Source Web Design
Every once in a while I run across a site that makes me say, "WOW, what a useful resource!" Open Source Web Design (OSWD) is one of those sites.
As you can probably tell by the articles I've featured on MyWebResource, I'm a strong advocate for using templates to streamline website development. As a designer, I produce free templates to give back to the Internet community, and I really enjoy doing so, but occassionally, the idea machine comes to a screeching halt.
6). Professional XOOPS theme design - What to look for
In general, prices for theme design work will range depending on a number of factors. If you don't mind the designer releasing the theme on their site for others to purchase, then you can expect anywhere from $20US to $50US for your theme. If the theme must be a one of a kind theme that only you use, you could expect to multipy the fee by at least 10x.
7). Using XSAS to develop multiple XOOPS sites locally
This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions for how to develop multiple XOOPS websites locally using XSAS (XOOPS Stand Alone Server). I use this information pretty much on a daily basis, and I hope you find it helpful, too. As always, I welcome any feedback or suggestions you may have.
(It is assumed that the reader has a basic knowledge of folder structures, permission settings, how to perform basic operations in phpMyAdmin, and of course, how to install XOOPS.
