1). Panic at the Disco's fast rising popularity
Panic! at the Disco is a pop rock/electronica band based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. The band is comprised of Brendon Urie (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and his childhood friend, Spencer Smiths (drums), along with their schoolmate, Ryan Ross (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals).
To promote their music, the band made contact with Pete Wentz (of Fall Out Boy) via his LiveJournal webpage.

Shaffer Chimere Smith, best known by his stage name, Ne-Yo, is an American R&B singer and songwriter. Ne-Yo was best known for co-authoring Mario’s 2004 number-one hit, Let Me Love You and then later shot to fame with the release of his own album, In My Own Words, which was released in 2006 and debuted at the top of The Billboard 200. Ne-Yo’s second single, So Sick, became his first number-one hit single.

Pharrell Williams (aka Skateboard P) is a songwriter, singer, and rapper, from Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is the songwriter for hip-hop production duo, The Neptunes, alongside with Chad Hugo. In addition, he is the lead singer and drummer for funk/rock group N*E*R*D, with Hugo and Shae Haley. He also is a budding solo artist, both as a singer and rapper.
4). Shakira's combination of rock & latin sounds is a worldwide smash
Shakira, whose full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, is a Columbian Latin pop singer and songwriter. Shakira’s love of music began at a very young age. At the age of eight she was writing and composing music. Though failing to make her school’s choir because of her “too strong” voice, Shakira was able to sing her heart out by competing in a weekly television signing competition for children, Vivan Los Ninos (Long Live The Kids).
5). Nelly Furtados Punk-hop sound is a worldwide smash
Nelly Kim Furtado is a singer and songwriter, best known for her hit singles, I’m Like a Bird, Turn off the Light, Maneater, and Promiscuous. A first-generation Candadia of Azorean-Portuguese descent, Furtado is widely known for her unique sound and innovative experimentation with diverse instruments, languages, genres, and vocal styles.
Furtado’s talents showcased at a talent show in Toronto were impressive enough to compel Gerald Eaton (aka Jarvis Church) and Brian West of The Philosopher Kings to record material with her.
6). Outkast's diamond status
OutKast is an American hip-hop duo, comprised of Andre “Andre 3000” Benjamin (formerly known as “Dre”) and Antwan “Big Boi” Patton. Having sold over 20 million records with six albums under their belt, OutKast is easily one of the most successful hip-hop groups of all time. Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, a double album representing a solo album from each member of the duo, achieved diamond status, selling over 10 million units, a feat only two other hip hop albums have ever accomplished.
7). Sweet Home Alabama one of the greatest conservative rock songs
The song “Sweet Home Alabama” by Southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd (pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd) is one of the most popular and controversial rock songs in history. The song first appeared on the bands second album, Second Helping in 1974. Sweet Home Alabama was the bands first hit single, reaching the top ten of the US charts in 1974.

8). Rascal Flatts: One of Country Music's Succesful Groups
Rascal Flatts is a country music group made up of Gary LeVox (lead vocalist), Jay DeMarcus (bassist), and Joe Don Rooney (electric guitarist). Upon getting a record deal with Lyric Street Records, the group released their first album, Rascal Flatts, which would climb up to the #3 spot on the U.S. country albums chart.
The group’s next album, Melt, would peak at #5 on the U.
9). Rihanna mixes carribean roots and R&B
Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is an R&B singer from the Caribbean island of Barbados. Rihanna was first discovered in Barbados by music producer, Evan Rogers, who along with his partner Carl Sturken, assisted Rihanna in recording a demo to be sent to record labels like Def Jam.
Upon auditioning for CEO Jay-Z, Rihanna was signed right there on the spot.
10). Red Hot Chili Peppers Hold the Most No. 1 Modern Rock Hits
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a popular rock band formed in 1983, based out of California. Current band members include: Anthony Kiedis (lead vocals), Michael Balzary, or Flea (Bass), John Frusciante (Guitar/Backing vocals), and Chad Smith (Drums). While the rock band has gone through several line-up changes and personal conflicts, the band has managed to consistently create very diverse music that combines elements of funk, punk, metal, psychedelic rock, rap, and even pop rock.
11). Nellys' Ridin a succesful music & movie career
Nelly remains one of America’s most popular rappers. Born in Austin, Texas and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr., achieved mainstream success thanks to mega hits such as Country Grammar, Ride Wit Me, Hot in Herre, Dilemma, and Grillz.
In 2002, Nelly received two Grammy’s for Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, a reward he shared with Kelly Rowland for Dilemma.
12). Snoop Dogg the Dogg Father
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr., is an American rapper, record producer, and actor. As one of producer Dr. Dre’s most distinguished protégés, Snoop Dogg is best known for his laid-back, slurred, and rhythmically-complex lyrical delivery. To date, Snoop Dogg has sold over 17.6 million copies.
In his early years, as a member of a local Crips gang in Long Beach, Snoop Dogg was in and out of jail.
13). Paul Wall: Rapper, DJ and the man behind Grillz
Paul Wall, whose real name is Paul Slayton, is an American rapper, DJ, promoter and jeweler from Houston, Texas. Wall, affiliated with Swishahouse Records, is a graduate of Jersey Village High School and went to the University of Houston for three years. He was formerly one-half of a popular Houston duo, The Color Changin’ Click, next to long-time partner Chamillionaire.
