Fernando Alonso won last Sunday his 4th consecutive race giving him the conquest of the Canadian Formula One Grand Prix. For Alonso who runs for Renault was an easy victory since he started from the pole and only had a brief challenge from the Finn Kimi Raikkonen at the beginning of the race but Alonso held off Raikkonen’s attempt to pass him in the 12th lap.

4). A surprised victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix By : Jill Woods
Formula One driver Jenson Button has won his first victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix that took place in Budapest, while Schumacher got one point closer to Fernando Alonso during the race.
At the beginning, the rain was present in the race concluding with a little bit of sun but neither Fernando nor Schumacher could finish in good terms. For Button, the weather was not an impediment; actually the driver declared that after 10 laps he didn’t want the race to end.

6). Electric-powered Engine in F1? By : alfredjohnson
On 2006 Formula 1 engines slimmed to 2.4 liters and a massive multi-million dollar spending on their research. Yesterday a plan for an electric-powered formula 1 racing car was revealed. It would compete against the world's fastest cars at speeds of more than 180 mph.
The engine it will be an electric-hydraulic power system which achieved speeds of more than 90 mph for 600 miles without stopping.

2006 Formula One drivers will experience new rules for the 2006 season opening race in Bahrain next weekend.
The F1 season will start on Sunday with the Grand Prix in Bahrain which will have different rules compared to previous competitions. The Fédération Internationale de l’ Automobile (FIA) which is the governing body for motor racing events, has changed the format of the qualifying round.

11). Bahrain Grand Prix 2006, Alonso defeats Michael Schumacher. By : Jill Woods
Last March 12th the adrenaline ran and all the spectators were suspecting that the F1 driver Michael Schumacher was going to be the winner of the Bahrain Grand Prix. The 7th times Ferrari champion Schumacher was defeated by the Spaniard Fernando Alonso.
Before finishing the last lap, Alonso from the Renault team was fighting to overcome Schumacher and both F1 divers were getting rubbed to achieve the leading position of the race.
