  • 1). Being A Writer Is So Taxing  By : Scott Lindsay
For many writers the idea of trying to figure out how to manage taxes related to writing is laughable because they are still dreaming of selling their first article, story or manuscript. However, you may well find yourself receiving payment for your writing one day – and when you do, it's important to know some tax basics as they relate to writing. In America all income is taxable and that includes income from writing.

  • 4). Ten Commandmets That Don't Work  By : Roy E. Klienwachter
If rules are made to be broken, then as a society we have clearly demonstrated that philosophy. If the rules don't work over a period of time, then why do we have them? If the rules don't work in a society, they need to be changed. Religious moral laws have failed miserably and it is insanity to continue with them. It is obvious that something is not working...

  • 9). Once Saved, Always Saved?  By : Scriber34
I used to think that once saved, I would always be saved. This in part because of the scripture in Romans 8:38 Where Paul makes the statement: ("For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord").

  • 10). The Loyalty And Faith Of Nascar Fans  By : David Maillie
NASCAR fans are known for their loyalty to the sport, their favorite drivers and each other. When the race comes to town, the streets are lined with vendors selling a wide variety of merchandise sporting the image of drivers and their cars. Something else has been seen at races in recent years, Christian groups reaching out and spreading the Word. At many races, Christian fans hold early morning prayer services at roadside stands and in camp grounds.

  • 12). How To Avoid Clichés - That Sounds Familiar  By : Scott Lindsay
When writing articles, stories for full blown manuscripts it is often in your best interest to avoid common phrases or colloquialisms. Many writers refer to the overuse of these phrases as cliché and they avoid them like the plague. It may take some work to find new ways to say something you’ve relied on clichés to say for you. Two exercises I have used for this is to pick a vocabulary list and only use words on that list to compose a thought.

  • 19). Rock & Roll In Church?  By : Verona Raymond
Why do some churches have old time hymns and others have several guitars, drums and other types of instruments that weren't in churches twenty plus years ago? Are we getting away from what a Christian church should be, and forming something else that maybe isn't acceptable to God today? I know some conservative churches that never allow anything but a piano and a church organ for their music.

  • 21). Don’t Hold A Grudge Against Me!  By : Verona Raymond
We all need to be cautious and not make quick judgements! The thing that really bothers me is being accused of something I didn’t do and having that person hold a grudge against me. You know the feeling…helpless! Or you might think that somebody intentionally did something to hurt you, and you want to accuse or judge them based on your feelings. As a child, some of my friends secretly poked fun at the other kids in the neighborhood walking down the street and I told them to stop.

  • 25). Is Anyone Out There?  By : Scott Lindsay
When crafting a piece of writing it is important to define who the audience for the piece will be. It doesn’t matter if the piece is fiction, non-fiction or technical. What is important is knowing a little bit about your intended reader. Some writers get very specific and their intended audience becomes some like this: A single Caucasian mother, age 32, three children, owner of a mini-van, listens to light rock and lives in an apartment complex.
