1). How Do You Deal With Adversity By : Deanna Mascle
"We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival."
~ Winston Churchill
I remember reading some time ago about a study of longevity in humans. There has been a large body of scientific research into the reasons why some people are long-lived but of course while various diets, health regimes, and regional or ethnic differences are often linked to living long it is a very difficult cause and effect relationship to determine because there are so many other variables involved.

3). I Dare You By : Rachael Cleipher
Do you remember playing the game 'dare' with your friends as a child or teen? I sure do. I remember sitting around at sleepovers and parties taking turns giving dares to each other. We would dare each other to do the silliest or most scary things we could think of. Perhaps it would be to jump into a pool or lake in the winter or maybe we would dare each other to make a prank phone call to the neighbors.

4). Would you rather fly or be invisible? By : Deanna Mascle
Recently one of my son's favorite TV stations conducted a survey of children. They asked kids which superpower they would rather have: the ability to fly or to be invisible?
To me it seemed to be a no-brainer--to fly most definitely!
First of all, I think the ability to fly offers a lot more opportunity for fun, adventure, and freedom. Just think.

6). Dare to Achieve and Discover a Daring New You By : Snowflake
I'm doing things differently in the New Year! For a start, I’m not going to undertake a million and one things with deadlines impossible to keep (though I suspect my interest in new projects will get the better of me). Many amazing and interesting things in this world grab my attention, making it easy for me to get sidetracked.
My intention for the New Year is to transcend all previous successes and achieve things previously not considered.

8). Learn to face difficulty By : Deanna Mascle
"It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult."
-- Seneca the Younger
This is a great quote to both contemplate and to apply to your life.
How often do you hear people complain? Pick a topic-love, friendship, careers, etc. The list of issues that people complain about is endless. You and I are no different.
