  • 6). WaSa's fresh take on sushi  By : Andrew S. Horan
It's 7:30 on a Tuesday night, and 20 people are waiting to get into WaSa Sushi and Japanese Restaurant. Good sign. They're chatting happily outside in the winter chill of a shopping center parking lot in Irvine, Orange County, Calif. No grousing about the wait, just lots of chatter about the dining experience that awaits. Another good sign. Businessman Bronnie Lee and chef James Hamamori have a hit with their ``new generation'' sushi houses in Irvine and Newport Beach.

  • 11). Taléo restaurant is something special  By : Andrew S. Horan
I could barely get any work done the hour after I returned from lunch at Taléo Mexican Grill in Irvine (in the heart of California's Orange County) -- and that tells all you need to know. People kept interrupting me, seeking wisdom about this good food they were hearing about. In that hour, my lunch companion Brenda couldn't stop telling folks about the fresh ingredients, the beautiful room, the smart service -- and our simple, sumptuous dessert.

  • 12). Finding A Treasure In Amish Dining Room Tables  By : P. A. Davis
Think of dining room tables and let your imagination wander. Perhaps you picture a piece of fine furniture, glistening after being freshly polished, with a straw basket of colorful fruit in its center or a small display of fresh yellow and white daisies in a white ceramic vase…..exquisite in their simplicity. Your mind’s eye may notice the warmth of the wood, the beauty of nature’s gifts, and the comfort they impart.

  • 21). Eating Out, Mexican Style:  By : Christopher Guerriero
With the fast pace and competitiveness of American society, dining out is a way of life for many people. Americans eat out an average of three to four meals a week. Unfortunately, in many cases, restaurant food often contains a lot of fat, sugar and sodium for taste and preservative value. It is possible, however, to eat healthy and choose wisely if you're skilled at special ordering and knowledgeable about food preparation for different cuisines.

  • 22). Vessia Ristorante makes you feel at home  By : Andrew S. Horan
The reasons we keep coming back to Vessia Ristorante in Irvine (in Orange County, Calif.) are pretty simple. The food, the service, the room. It's a special place, but not in that big, showy, ``special occasion'' way. Vessia is casual charm, warm hospitality and reliably tasty servings. We've shared many meals here over the past five years. When my wife and I moved back to Orange County in 2000, we spent our first New Year's Eve with pasta and piped-in Italian music.
