2). Small Aircraft Control Surfaces By : Yvonne Volante
Anyone who has held their hand out of a car into the wind to play airplane already has a fundamental impression of control surfaces on the airplane.
When the heel of the palm went down, the airpressure under the hand pushed the hand up. That's called lift. The airflow over/under the hand changes with the shape of the hand or airfoil. If you had little cut-outs near your wrist, there wouldn't be as much lift.

3). The Bahamas, So Near Yet So Far By : Shirley Bullington
Made up of about 700 islands and located just a short flight or cruise from the mainland United States, the Bahama Islands are a wonderful tropical retreat. It is perhaps the most popular destination for cruisers, especially first time cruisers. Like its Western "cruise cousin", the 3-day jaunts to Ensenada and points in Nortwest Mexico, a Bahamas cruise is a great choice of busy people who need a few nights away from it all.

* Where Should we Stay? *

Well, things have not changed. The media is constantly reminding us that we are working too long, too hard, and for too little pay.

17). Airline Flight...3000 Miles With A Squalling Brat By : Bill Thomas
I've just completed another one of those cross country flights from Seattle to Baltimore that I've come to 'love' so well. The flight itself was uneventful, good weather for flying and the dining fare of peanuts and soda was delightful. But seriously the folks at United were very nice, and all and all it wouldn't have been a bad flight except for a 'little' problem that we had for the whole trip from Denver to Baltimore.

Even in the olden times, the problem of motion sickness had been prevalent. In fact, it was even referred to as “camel sickness” in the Bible, where the camel riders experience nausea due to moderate swaying.
With the advent of technology, motion sickness has evolved into many forms such as seasickness, carsickness, space motion sickness, and airsickness; and the reason why more and more people are now traveling by air is because of its capacity to transport people faster.
