3). The Winner Arrived To The Indy Japan 300 By : Julie Smith
The Indy Japan 300 has a new champion. After Dan Wheldon monopolized the championship for the last two years, a new winner has raised: Helio Castroneves. The pilot claimed his second straight win of the season on the IndyCar Series. The first one was the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
Dan Wheldon was on the run towards becoming the first IndyCar Series pilot to triumph three straight years at the same track, but it just wouldn’t happen because Castroneves had different plans.

Indianapolis Schools Center for Inquiry Teacher Gets Governor's Award for Tomorrow's Leaders
An Indianapolis Schools Center for Inquiry teacher, Maysee Herr, was among twelve young leaders from throughout Indiana to be awarded the Governor's Award for Tomorrow's Leaders. The honor of the Governor's Award for Tomorrow's Leaders is not the only thing the recipient receives; they also get $1,000 to be used as an educational scholarship or as a donation to the charity of their choice.

Superintendent Calls for Fathers on the First Day of School
Superintendent Eugene G. White’s call to fathers in the Indianapolis schools has met with strong success. Mr. White asked fathers to bring their children to the first day of classes in order to establish a stronger presence on campus and hopefully continue to stay involved with Indianapolis schools throughout the school year.

7). Tragic Accident During the Indy Race By : Julie Smith
A tragic crash took away Paul Dana’s life during the Indy Race opening day at the Homestead-Miami Speedway last Sunday.
Ed Carpenter lost control and crashed his car against the wall and after some spinning ended up in the middle of the race track. Most of the drivers got to avoid hitting Carpenter’s car but Dana couldn’t. He crashed at an approximated speed of 200 miles an hour during the final warm up for the season–opening race.
