  • 3). How They Stack Up - The AFC East In July  By : Jay Nault
The AFC East has been the domain of the New England Patriots for quite some time now. Many see the Seattle Seahawks as the “landlords” of the NFC West, and that’s probably a correct assumption. The team got all the way to the Super Bowl last season, and their personnel losses appear manageable. However, there is always the prospect of a “Super Bowl loss hangover,” as that has ruined other teams’ seasons the following year, and two other teams in particular could be on the verge of achieving big things in the division.

  • 7). Divisional Outlook For July - Al West  By : Jay Nault
Although there was a shakeup at the top of the AL West standings during the past 30 days, this is a race that may be too close to call up until and including the final days of the 2006 season. Only four games separate first place from last, and none of the AL West teams have put together that “big streak” and sustained it. Oakland A’s Currently: The A’s took over the top spot in the division during the past few weeks, going 17-10 in the past 30 days.
