2). Barry Bond, Steroids and Major League Baseball By :
Copyright 2006 David Maillie
In the last 5 years the growing popularity and use of illegal substances (steroids) in major league baseball has created a public outcry and led to indictments, arrests and congressional hearings. Some have even put major league baseball on par with professional wrestling as it is now a drugged or ‘juiced’ game and old, lasting records by the greats like Ruth and Hank Aaron can easily be broken by lesser athletes on steroids and have become meaningless.

A deep investigation has been developed in the Baseball world after the use of steroid by Barry Bond, as the Major League Baseball reported.
According with the information given, the baseball player has been taken steroids, human growth hormone and insulin for the last five seasons, since 1998.
Two recent books have revealed the case, these are: ‘Game of Shadows” written by two Chronicle reporters from San Francisco and “Love me, Hate me: Barry Bonds and the Making of an Antihero” by Jeff Pearlman.

4). Barry Bonds And Steroid Use By : Matthew C. Keegan
I will give Barry Bonds the benefit of the doubt and consider him innocent until proven guilty. There is simply too much public "trying" of cases due to the "seriousness of the allegations" whereby people are tried, convicted, and sentenced by members of the media or by everyday citizens.
Yet, the case against Barry Bonds seems to be compelling, especially if he lied to a Grand Jury in 2003 about his steroid use, as alleged.

5). Since when we don’t see a triple play! By : Jill Woods
Last Sunday the Chicago White Sox made the first triple play in the majors in more than a year, in the sixth inning of the game, winning 9-7 over the Minnesota Twins.
Some of the Chicago players worked very hard for the team as Jermaine Dye and A.J Pierzynski; the baseball team had been outscored 18-5 in two losses to start the four-game series.
With a 9-7 defeat, it seemed like the Twins were concentrated in the match when Nick Punto led off with a bunt single and Shannon Stewart walked.

6). Sports Hero...Little League Parades and Stocking Shelves By : Bill Thomas
I'm long past the point of idolizing sports celebrities with over-sized egos and paychecks to match. I stopped paying attention to professional sports about the time the power and greed took the 'sport' out of sports and turned it into strictly a business. Owners of sport franchises today are lawyers and businessmen who have made their fortune in other fields and buy sport teams because they have an abundance of money and ego, and not necessarily the skill to run a sports franchise.
