2). The Power of a Pen By : Kevin
Every leader, supervisor, coach, team member and parent has been told of the value of giving positive feedback. We’ve heard reasons why. We’ve heard we don’t do it enough. We’ve learned all of the basics about giving positive feedback successfully: make it timely, make it specific, and when giving positive feedback consider sharing it publicly.
All of this is good advice, but it falls short of the mark if we want to make a long term lasting difference in the self-image, confidence, and performance of others.

4). The Power of Worship By : Debra Lohrere
Singing praises to God or worshiping him opens up a window to heaven. As your praise reaches the heart of God, it becomes a two way stream of communication. As you touch God with your praise, his Holy Spirit touches you and ministers to you. Praise and worship can also open the door to blessings from God.
We praise God because he is worthy of all praise.

5). Praise Matters By : Kevin
In working with businesses and organizations of all kinds, I hear the same concerns everyday:
How do we increase productivity?
How do we improve Customer service?
How do we keep people actively engaged in their work and with others on their team?
How do we reduce turnover?
How do we improve safety?
Even if you aren’t thinking about or concerned about every one of those questions, I’m sure at least one of them has kept you up at night in the past.

6). The Privilege of Praise By : Ann Stewart
To praise someone is to extol, glorify or honor him/her. One definition that really sums it up for me is: “to go into raptures over.” I love that! Doesn’t that accurately describe a state of exuberance? Can you see yourself jumping up and down, screaming and laughing over some great feat your favorite team has performed or the prize you’ve won?
Privilege equals freedom.

8). Praise: Can Too Much Damage Your Child's Self-Esteem? By : Karen Alonge
For the purpose of this article, I’m making a distinction between praise and sincere admiration. I see praise as an attempt to manipulate another’s behavior for your own ends. When you praise someone, you are doing it because you hope that they will repeat whatever behavior came before the praise.
This may be a good thing when you are training a dog (I don’t have a dog so I can’t say for sure), but I’m not sold on the idea of ‘training’ our kids with the verbal equivalent of scooby snacks.
