  • 2). Low Testosterone And Headaches/ Migraines?  By : Pieternel Van Giersbergen
As a registered nurse I attend many classes, and recently had a small revelation about the relationship between age and the incidence of migraines headaches. Our teacher said that migraines headaches hardly ever appear after the age of 55, and that migraines headaches are related to hormones and hormone change. I found this remarkable, since in my many years in the ER I had in fact seen lots of younger men and women with migraines headacnes, but never older men or women.

Working as a nurse in the emmergency room you meet a beautiful variety of people. Among those for whom I feel a special sympathy are those with bipolar. They can of course be quite the characters: some hear voices, some live on the streets, some have an extraordinary sense of humor, some love to sing and entertain… and much more. One thing bipolar patients have in common is that they take heavy medications, particularly antidepressants that have many side effects.

Testosterone is the hormone responsible for the development of manhood after the child reaches puberty. This influx of hormones has a great psychological influence, essentially turning boys in men. Muscle mass and strength increases, the sex drive develops, the voice deepens, and the man is endowed with the capacity to reproduce.

  • 9). Menopause and Progesterone  By : Cathy Taylor
Do women going through menopause have lowered levels of progesterone? Recent research tells us that women do suffer from decreased levels of progesterone and also experience other symptoms such as unexplained weight gain (particularly in the stomach area), depression, fatigue, hair loss, memory loss, mood swings, migraines and loss of libido. A natural cream can balance estrogens without side effects.
