1). Shifting Deadlines By : Matthew C. Keegan
As a writer who works on multiple projects at any given time, I attempt to pin down a deadline from my clients even if one is not stated. Why? Because, the "I am in no hurry for these" statements invariably becomes, "are you done with the articles?" How embarrassing is that if I make the assumption that a project could be put off, especially if my client wants it now?
I have learned to do the following: as soon as I get a project I ask for a specific timeline for when the job should be completed.

2). THE SYNOPSIS...made easy! By : Liana200
You have completed your mss, you have even written a cover letter to enclose with your mss, but still, that is not enough! You need a synopsis of your work to add to them as well.
What is a synopsis?
A synopsis is a summary of your work. You must always enclose a synopsis with your mss. Do not expect the editor/publisher to read your mss without it, as they do not have much time available.

3). Comic Books: Our Own Worst Enemy? By : Mat Nastos
Like most comic publishers I spend quite a bit of time thinking about the state of the industry and how to make it better – well, truthfully, how to make my little corner of it better. After spending a lot of time thinking it over and discussing what everyone perceives to be the main elements leading to the downfall of comics (the distributor monopoly, for example), I realized what the biggest problem and killer really is: the industry.

4). Advertising Your Small Business On A Limited Budget By : Obinna Heche
The best advertising deal, whether for a small business or large, is advertising that works. The price a business owner pays for advertising would not be an issue if the outcome of the ad was known.

5). Google’s click fraud woes By : Peter E.
Google has been under a lot of pressure these days to become more open about their efforts towards combating click fraud. Google’s main source of revenue is online advertising via their AdWords program. AdWords allows advertisers to have their ad shown when a particular keyword is searched for in Google or if the same keyword appears in the content of a website that subscribes to Google’s AdSense program.

6). Maintaining Article Integrity By : Matthew C. Keegan
Inasmuch as I enjoy writing, I do not enjoy participating in schemes to create “templated” articles for other "authors" to use or misuse to their delight. Or, at the very least, to profit from my hard work!
On occasion, I am asked by a client to take someone else's article, make some changes, and make it their article. Quite frankly, this smacks of plagiarism.

7). Article Marketing: Breaking Free By : Matthew C. Keegan
As a prolific article writer I have been asked by some how I am able to generate so many quality articles in such a short period of time. Frankly, it isn’t always easy, but there are some things I would like to share with you in order that you may, perhaps, increase your production as I have. Increased production for you means additional and regular submissions resulting in greater exposure of your name on the world wide web.

9). Article Writing and Clients: When Things Do Not Work Out By : Matthew C. Keegan
In each of my business relationships, I expect that mutual respect and trust be essential ingredients in my association with the other individual. If one or both traits do not exist, then the relationship shouldn’t proceed any further.
So, what do you do when you have an uncomfortable or odd feeling about working for someone, but you can’t put your.

13). Strengthen Your Website Content With Online Database Access By : David Riewe
Website content, as articles, has taken center stage as web publishers scramble to differentiate their online offers. As both the quantity and quality of articles have accelerated, so too have online directories. These directories often resemble mere lists, but they can be powerful content additions that serve to deepen the value of the overall selling proposition by helping users in locating critical, related resources that for the visitor is otherwise much too time consuming.

19). Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy And Mesothelioma? Adsense Myths Discussed. By :
Everywhere I turn these days I’m seeing ads for websites being sold proclaiming that they’ve optimized that particular site for an outrageously priced keyword, such as Mesothelioma (a cancer of the lungs caused by asbestos). In fact, I’ll bet that if you did a search at this very moment on EBAY, you would find at least one auction for such a website, probably claiming that you’ll make thousands of dollars a month with it if purchased.

20). The Skinny On Article Directories By : Bonnie Jo Davis
Article directories (also known as article archives) are searchable on-line databases of articles contributed by multiple authors. The goal of an article directory is to collect articles on certain topics and offer them to publishers to place on their website, in their e-zine or in print. Each article directory has unique guidelines for both authors and publishers.

23). Trends v. Fads By : Matthew C. Keegan
Writing for online publishing can be a tricky undertaking especially considering that what may be popular today may not be so in a month or two, thereby making what you wrote irrelevant.
To overcome the possibility of your words falling to the ground instead of being received by your customers’ eyes you need to determine if the subject matter is a trend or a fad.

24). Ripping Apart An Existing Article By : Matthew C. Keegan
Occasionally, I get a request from a client to take their existing articles and rewrite each one with a fresh “voice” or style. I usually look at these types of projects with a bit of suspicion, as I wonder if the articles are owned by the client or swiped from someone else. I only proceed if I am confident that the articles are, indeed, the intellectual property of the person possessing them.
