Some teams get to the World Series and you know that they are going to win it all. Like the 1927, and 1961 Yankees. The Red Sox of 2004 and the Reds from the Big Red Machine days are a few other teams where I felt that their destiny was secure before the series started. Some teams are so strong that they win four games to none. The Yankees have done it seven times.

Did you ever notice what some of these ballplayers do before they get in to bat against live pitching? Some of these warm-ups can be interesting. Comical might be a better description. These baseball players always seem to do the exact same things when they are warming up to bat, for every at bat. Like Derek Jeter’s ritual. He gets in to the batters' box and then raises his right hand back toward the home plate umpire requesting some extra time to get set to hit.

I have a great amount of respect for the top teams of baseball. Being able to excel at a very high level is what I love about what some of these teams accomplished. 1902 Pittsburgh Pirates They had a record of 103 Wins and 36 Losses and won the Pennant by 27.5 games. They scored 775 runs and allowed 440 runs. The Pirates had five pitchers with 15 wins and eras of under 2.
