4). Is Being an Ethical Episcopalian Enough? By : Sharon Serot
Once a month I take my children to a food pantry to do volunteer work. On this particular Sunday we were stocking shelves with a group of Episcopalian Youth. I knew this because each of them was wearing an Episcopal shield lapel pin. Seeing these kids really lifted my spirits. Usually it’s adults who work in the food pantry and that can become pretty boring for my kids.

5). The Essential Message of Easter By : Sharon Serot
Regardless of whether you are an Episcopalian, Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist or “Christian” of some stripe, the festival of Easter is the highlight of our year. With its themes of His triumph over death and His resurrection, we prepare ourselves for the Ascension of our Lord.
It is important to remember that Salvation is not just a historical event that took place in the distant past to other people in other places.

6). The Meaning of Life By : Jason Vines
What imbues one’s life with meaning? What gives us significance in the universe?
Many people would answer, “God.” God provides our lives with purpose. In a universe that God forged, we all have a role in His master plan. This means we all matter within the grand scheme of existence. Without God, our lives could have no meaning, because we’d just… be.

8). Medicine vs. Alternative Therapies By : Rayna Gangi
Medicine in many Native American families means self-knowledge. The medicine people of the tribes were spiritual, but also herbalists who knew every aspect and purpose of God’s weeds and plants. Great importance was attached to the Human connection to Earth, to nature, and to the Creator, and though anatomy was not a required course, medicine people intuitively and instinctively knew which herbs or plants affected which areas of the body and how that part of the body was supposed to work.

9). The Frog In The Pot: Complacency costing us our rights, our families, our souls By : Dianne James
No doubt you've heard the story of the Frog in the Pot: If a frog is dropped into a pot of scalding water, it will sense the danger and immediately jump out. However, if a frog is dropped into a pot of tepid water and the water temperature is gradually raised, the frog will succumb rather than trying to escape. Well, people are similar in behavior. Call it gradualism or complacency, it's happening to the citizens of the U.

11). The Death Penalty, Is it Good Or Bad? By : David G. Hallstrom, Sr.
I am and always have been the pro death penalty, however, even though I am pro death penalty, I probably would not be willing to pull the switch or push the button. I do not think that this makes me a hypocrit. Please bear with me while I explain.
As I stated, I am pro death penalty. I am not, however, pro death penalty as an act of revenge or retribution.

When you think about being flexible, what do you think of first? Which aspects of being flexible are important, which are essential, and which ones can you take or leave? You be the judge.
In each of our lives, there will be times of joy and times of sorrow. In pain, we are born. In pain, we leave the world. Somewhere in the midst of living, growing, and understanding life in our maturity, we find ourselves seeking to find what we were born with.

13). Christmas Season Versus Holiday Season By : David G. Hallstrom, Sr.
In the United States, the month of December is the Christmas Season, not the Holiday Season. To the best of my knowledge there is only one holiday in December recognized by our government. December 25 was made a legal holiday in order to celebrate the birth of Christ. There are no other legal holidays during the month of December. Chanukah, Hannukah, or Hanukah is a celebration and, some say, a Jewish Holiday but it is not a legal holiday.

The Jewish Pilgrimage – An Exploration of Reality, Mainly in Verse
The Jewish Pilgrimage by Geoffrey Hoffman is clearly written to inspire philosophical discussion. 16). Who Are You - Really? By : Lee Down
You are a spiritual being. You recognize something in you that is greater than the experience you may be living. Trust that part of who you are.
Our difficulty in our society is due to all the conditioning we have had through education and culture that places so much emphasis on our mind and denying our emotions. You have not been properly taught about your true spiritual nature and that the mind, body, and emotions are tools to serve you.

17). How To Manifest Miracles Now! By : Nick Arandes
The universe is nothing but a big bowl of energy. Energy that attracts and repels. That is how dreams are either manifested or avoided. To better illustrate this concept, imagine carrying a walkie-talkie.
Al though two people can be miles and miles apart, they can still talk to each other. How can that be, since there is no connection between one another? The illusion is that they are separated, however, the truth is, they are still connected invisibly by a stream of energy.

18). Christianity Verses Works Based Religion By : Steven Coffman
Over the centuries Christianity has grown immensely in popularity. I feel that why this has come to pass is because it is the only religious doctrine that is based solely on us praying in the name of Jesus to God to ask forgiveness for our sins, and forgiveness being granted by God. In John 14:5-6 (NKJV) Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.

Our society continues to technologically evolve at a breakneck pace, but at what cost? Has the rush of daily life caused us to forget or de-emphasize traditional themes in life such as kindness and love?

20). Why Can't The Theories of Evolution And Creationism Co-Exist? By : David G. Hallstrom, Sr.
I am not a scientist or a religious authority, therefore my question "Why Can't The Theories of Evolution And Creationism Co-Exist?" may seem unintelligent, however it seems to me that the theories of evolution and creationism can be merged.
It is my understanding that the theory of evolution basically holds that mankind evolved from a lower species over numerous generations through natural selection, gene flow, genetic drift and other selective forces.

21). Twenty First Century Lies – The Slaughtering of Accountability By : Rev. Michael Bresciani
A boy went flying down the staircase from his room and after finding his mother busy in the kitchen he blurted out a question with great earnest and urgency. Mother he said…is it true what the preacher says at funerals about us when he says we are going from ashes to ashes and dust to dust? His mother pondered the question for a moment and replied…yes that is true son.

The atmosphere within the evangelical community has been heating up since the Evangelical Climate Initiativewas introduced in early February.
The statement, which is endorsed by more than 80 prominent evangelical leaders, asserts that climate change is an urgent problem and that the Christian faith mandates a strong response to global warming. We confuse ourselves about the meaning of the spiritual path. And because of this confusion, we never embark on it. Yet the end of confusion comes from looking at the essence of true spirituality. Once we capture that essence, we can act in a way that sets our feet on that path.

24). The Right To Die Should Be A Personal Matter By : David G. Hallstrom, Sr.
I believe that the right to die should, in most cases, be a personal matter and not a political matter (I am talking for adults, not for children. Children, and I include teenagers in this, have not lived long enough and do not have enough life experience to decide their own fates. Some of them think the world is at an end if they get a bad grade or a pimple.

25). Once Saved, Always Saved? By : Scriber34
I used to think that once saved, I would always be saved. This in part because of the scripture in Romans 8:38 Where Paul makes the statement:
("For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord").
