1). Supreme Court Justices Unethical Behavior? By : Chris McElroy
We have all read about Jack Abramoff and how lobbying is done in Washington. Trips, dinners, campaign funding, and other perks paid for by lobbyists in return for favors the politicians can do for their clients.
But our Supreme Court Justices should be beyond reproach. They are not elected, but appointed. They are in that position for life or until they decide to retire.

4). Atheists Agnostics and Evolutionists – The Worst Gamblers in the World By : Rev. Michael Bresciani
I have seen the odds of having the right amino acids and other components coming together from the primordial ooze and creating life mathematically computed. It produces a number followed by so many zeros that if I used the smallest font on my computer it would take the rest of this article to write them in, plus another several hundred pages to record them all.

5). Historical View of Chess By : Francesca Black
Copyright 2006 Francesca Black
Chess, the game of kings, has its origins appropriately shrouded in mystery.
The chess board and it's pieces are indicative of medieval life. The six different chess pieces on the board represent a cross section of medieval life with its many ceremonies, grandeur, and wars. The castle piece on a chess board is the home, or the refuge, just as it was a home in medieval times.

6). Peace Is a Process By : Ann Stewart
There is a process of peace underway. Throughout the world nations are clamoring for peace. From Afghanistan to Iraq, Gaza and Lebanon we see destruction, violence and utter desolation. Israel is at the very heart of this process. Whether we understand it or not, the whole earth is embroiled in a spiritual battle. Although it seems like a number of unrelated wars between nations, nationalities, or religions, ultimately they are striving either for or against God's Kingdom to be established.

7). Peace On Earth, A Wonderful Wish, But No Way By : David G. Hallstrom, Sr.
When asked, "If you could wish for one thing only, what would that wish be?" almost everyone; from beauty pagent contestants, to politicians, to religious leaders, to children, to the average person on the street states, "Peace On Earth" or "An end to all wars". Those wishes, while exemplary, are meaningless. As long as humans exist there will never be peace on earth.

8). On Thanksgiving – Thank God for our Soldiers By : Rev. Michael Bresciani
Not many people reading this article will remember the old television serial called “I Remember Mamma” and certainly almost none of the young men and women of our present day armed forces will remember it. I shudder when I think of how old I am getting, because I do remember it very well. “I Remember Mamma” was a TV series on every week about a Swedish family that came to America to start a new life away from the old country.

11). France’s Troubles: Learning from US By : Matthew C. Keegan
I know that there are some people who are celebrating France’s recent troubles with delicious glee. I guess I can understand how they feel, given France’s ongoing hypocrisy concerning the Iraq War [hmmm…whose hand is in that oil-for-food cookie jar?] and the all too common and world renowned snooty attitude displayed by many Francophiles toward outsiders.

12). You Fellow Human Beings Need Your Help By : Duranki
copyright Michael Wooller 2006
I stamped on the brakes hard. Thanks to ABS my car stopped within inches of the car in front. Close! I wiped the offending tears from my eyes. The tears that had nearly brought me to grief. They had flowed naturally and spontaneously as I listened to a speaker on the radio describing how a family of five young children had watched their mother die slowly and horribly over a period of several months.

13). Multi table poker in on-line casinos By : Adam Nolan
On average a player that has a good working knowledge and experience of playing poker will play no more than 30% of his or her time. Out of that 30%, approximately 15% of this he or she will be folding on the flop. To the untrained eye, this seems like a terrible waste of time, when in fact this is not the case at all. Professional players use this time to learn their opponents “tell”.

15). Is War Ever Justified? By : Ken Charnly
To those of us who are horrified by war, it is easy to say at once that war is never justified and disagree totally with the question. However, a little thought will lead us to conclude that there are at least a few instances that a country is justified in going to war. In other words, war can be just under certain circumstances.

17). A Dialog about Anti-Semitism and the Fate of the State of Israel By : Sam Vaknin
Rabid anti-Semitism, coupled with inane and outlandish conspiracy theories of world dominion, is easy to counter and dispel. It is the more "reasoned", subtle, and stealthy variety that it pernicious. "No smoke without fire," - say people - "there must be something to it!".
In this dialog I try to deconstruct a "mild" anti-Semitic text. I myself wrote the text - not an easy task considering my ancestry (a Jew) and my citizenship (an Israeli).

18). Facts About U.S. Colored Troops By : Ann Anderson
19) Life at the contraband camps was very harsh for the families of soldiers. Yeatman: "The poor negroes are everywhere greatly depressed at their condition. They all testify that if they were only paid their little wages as they earn them, so they could purchase clothing, and were furnished with the provisions promised, they could stand it; but to work and get poorly paid, poorly fed, and not doctored when sick, is more than they can endure.
